Reed Valve Assembly Install

#1 Post by 2cycle » Mon Jan 14, 2019 10:39 am

Does it matter which way the valve assembly is installed into the cylinder? The manual says to use the corner of the valve stop that is nipped off for reference so its on lower left corner when installed but the lower left corner is always nipped off because there's one valve stop on both sides that has a corner nipped off.Hope that makes sense.

install them so any slight curve is towards the reed block. After the petals are installed, hold them up to the light and look through the intake for light. Should be none.

I've never paid any attention to which way the reed block is installed. The block appears to be symmetrical.

The biggest thing with the reed block is to ensure no air leaks occur.
