82 RD350LC rebuild begins
Hi All,
I just purchased a basket case '82 350LC, Canadian version. I am planning to go back as close to original as practical. I have begun with the dry fit to get an inventory of what is missing. It looks like I have most everything and some of the missing parts are pretty easy to get from various ebay or UK shops.
However, there is a rear stay PN 4L0-21645-00 and seat handle that I seem to be missing and I can find a good picture of how they should look and fit to the frame. I have scoured ebay for the last few weeks and can't seem to find these parts. Any suggestions on where to find the parts or some pictures that may help me fabricate a replacements would be appreciated.
Russ

The rear grab bars are tough to find. I had to buy a whole parts bike to get one.
Here is a pic of the attachment:

Is 'seat handle' a u-shaped black piece of metal that fits on the bottom of the frame rails? If so I may have one lying around. Let me know.

The rear stay is part number 9 in the graphic below:
If the seat handle you are referring to is #18 in this picture, I need it as well.
I also need these parts:
rear fender 4LO-21610-10
tail light bracket 4L0-84751-00
I may be interested in anything else you have left over from your parts bike, let me know.
Thanks,
Russ

I was referring to #18. Will take a look tonight. It is mostly just random little bits left.
Re: 82 RD350LC rebuild begins
I'm sure someone on the UK RD LC Crazy forum would be able to help, although I understand you want to try and find something locally, I seem to remember one of the guys on there was making the lift handles himself and offering them for sale as there quite rare, they looked spot on tooevan_calgary wrote:I was referring to #18. Didn't find that piece but did find a complete tool tray and plate holder for the Canadian bikes if what Zedine posted in the other thread is what you are looking for.
