MotoGP 2016

#1 Post by solo 2 » Sun Mar 13, 2016 11:41 am

Well we're a week away from the opening race at Qatar and while the testing results don't tend to mean much they are interesting. I'm particularly interested in Scott Redding on the Ducati and Maverick Vinales on the Suzuki, they've done well during all test days, being in the top 5. The usual suspects are up there with last years disputed champion Lorenzo turning in the fastest times.

I'm stoked for this season, I'd like to see some new stars break out possibly. After last seasons end I'm not sure I can cheer as enthusiastically for Marquez anymore as much as I like his riding style. I would like to see Suzuki make some big advances, another big player at the top would make the racing that much more interesting.

Lets hope it's another great season full of epic battles.

I'm hoping this years MotoGP racing will be as close & competitive as the first two rounds of WSKB have been...

This year's World Superbike races even Super Sport have been just awesome easily some of the best racing since Max Biaggi left. As for MotoGP I'm certainly not going to hold my breath we have maybe three four races a year that are exciting I certainly won't pay that organization to watch their races especially after the politics of last year From a newly discovered but long known corrupt Spanish run organization that seized on every opportunity to ensure their Spanish riders could win, but it is what it is... I'll still watch for free.

How are you watching this season? I have been watching on fox sports but do not see it listed this weekend. Are you watching on tv or online? Thanks

Right on! Getting rid of Laguna ,
..totally ruined many enthusiasts chance for a awesome vacation. And the crooked politics, there not getting a penny out of me. Hopefully the racing gets better with this years spec ECU and tire manufacturer change..OH I Forgot...They dont like riders actually racing againt their Spanish boys. riders...lol. Frankley since the 990s died off the racing has been pretty boring, theres been alot of good races, But too far and few between. Heres hoping!
In the United State's this year all programing is on the BEin network, along with WSBK.

Would be nice to see the Suzuki's last race diffrence this year. Kinda sick of Yamaha vs Honda.

Just now watched the race. It was pretty good but a little irked to have to watch on a laptop instead of my uhd. Also not too happy with the commercials during the race.

Let me ask , do you get the Bein Channel in your region, or is it a package channel offering?

Here the coverage is quite good, had a full 1 hr build up program that explained in detail all the rules and the changes to the bikes for this year amongst other things I thought that was kind of good to try and draw people into the sport they are also covering all the world superbike Series this year.
Unfortunately the final race results appear to be similar to every year... hopefully the racing will get tighter and closer

Almost de ja vue of last years start to the season with the factory Ducati's leading early then fading.
Dailymotion had the race within minutes of its conclusion, :smt041 for free.

Do you think Iannone is going to get a little talking too by the team heads, fun to watch but that's 2 races now and taking out your team mate must be frowned upon. Dicing it out later in the race is one thing but all he is doing is slowing down both Ducatis in the beginning of the race. Vinales was riding the wheels off of the Suzuki , too bad he hit that wet spot under pressure from the Ducs. I thought it was a pretty entertaining race overall.

They don't call Iannone the maniac for nothing! I couldn't watch the race, stupid Bein wouldn't let me sign in so I canceled my subscription. From what I could gather, there were tire issues so they had to pull the tires they had been running and went to a hard 'control' tire with mandatory tire change. WTF, over?
