Just your average 2 stroke in Northern California

#1 Post by vespaman1 » Mon Apr 29, 2013 8:43 pm

Went for a bicycle ride up the coast and could pick this guy's noise out of the 4 stroke line up about 30 seconds before they passed me. Two weeks before I saw a parked RG500 on the side of the road. What's up with all the exotic 2 strokes suddenly appearing?

They have always been there. I grew up in San Francisco and went to school in San Rafeal and would see all sorts two strokes in the bay area. I've lane split to get to the intersection and see RDs, RZ, and triples trying to get a hole shot on the green light(wish I could lane split here :smt009 ). There was a RZ500 that would drive by my house every weekday (could hear it from a few blocks away). A few RG500s and NS400s parked on the street in the Richmond district. Taking a ride up Mount Tam and down to Stinson beach, you would see TZRs, NSRs, and RGVs of the 90s quite alot(must have been alot easier to title/register).
I don't know how it is there now but i know I've only scene a few two strokes here in New California(Colorado).
