New member from Japan

#1 Post by Injapan » Thu Mar 28, 2013 11:46 pm

Just scored this from Yahoo auction and finishes my 2 stroke collection. I have owned several of these over the years in the UK and HK but haven't had one for the last 10 years.

Seems to be a mix of 3HM and 29L and I will be adding some 350 barrels soon and an Ohlins shock thanks to the group buy thread on this site. Thanks for that.

Welcome to the site! You're 2-stroke collection is awesome.

What part of Japan are you living in?

Been there a few times to fight at the Kodokan, and also played against the All Japan Rollergames team in the Tokyo Dome for a week. (I was a jammer for the USA All Stars.) Would love to visit again to see race tracks and motorcycle museums.

Living in the center of Tokyo and been here for 16 years so guess I can call it home now. Am living in a 2 stroke heaven although prices for bikes and parts are getting more expensive every year as the supply runs out. Recently a lot of overseas buyers have discovered Yahoo auction so not quite the gem it used to be.

Awesome collection of smokers there you have and welcome!! :smt039 We are all fans of your country's bikes, especially the 2 stroke streeters. :smt023 I do have a question for you after seeing your pictures of your smokers- no love for the Kawasaki Triples?? :smt017 Surely they are worthy? Quite nice...All SPs! and the VJ23...is quite special as well.
We never were lucky enough to have the 250s here in America@ least legally its a shame too as they were the best 2 stroke motorcycles ever built, so far advanced from a RZ 350 or 500. As you own a 23, I believe its the very last 2-stoke 250 ever made. Now all you need is just one late 60s or 70s 2 stroke to balance out your history :smt005 :smt002

Oh lucky you, Japan the bikes, and the women are the most beautiful women on the planet....by quite a margin. It may be crowded but I'm sure you have a smile on your face :smt023
HAPPY 30th YAMAHA YVPS 350 1983-2013. DONT OVER THINK IT , JUST BUILD IT AND BE JUST AS FAST AND RELIABLE
