not much are being modified or made custom... mostly are keep in original condition and in running condition only ... but here in MALAYSIA every states have their own club and once or twice a year they would held a major gathering .. for 2 stroke retro.. this year almost 3000 bike did attend... it was a huge function with contest and activity... its held nearby the beach...

next event would be around MAY next year... this bike also have cult status here... it came during the 80's there was a movie AZURA it was the 1st box office in my country... there is a budget flight here AirAsia i think a return trip would cost $100-200 from australia... from uk would be gbp 150-250 ...

Mr. AL how difficult is it to source factory panels like for the 500 in your country? Looking to get some possibly but not having much luck finding new parts that are not going for small fortune

if new panel would be possible to order from yamaha japan but not sure if they are still in production... last time i did get some from japan auctions site but mostly are damage and need some repair job to be done... last time i did bought a new belly pan.. RZV500 model but it's still the same as RZ but they came with the original color scheme... hope this help

Are you or any of those friends of yours the American Ebay seller of all those fantastic NOS parts as i am looking to order directly from this seller as i keep the two strokes alive in America.
please Pm me with the direct connection so i can start getting the right parts to my home rather than going through third parties.
great group photos that bring 1984 memories back to me & the reason why ill be keeping atleast my original one in the Family.
