First ride on ex Slinger's hybrid

#1 Post by erbisa » Thu Jul 21, 2011 2:44 pm

I rode the bike for the first time at a trackday last week-end at Mirabel (ICAR). With no surprise, I was the only guy there with a two-stroke. I took it easy to avoid any bad luck on my first ride but the bike is a pleasure to ride and is incredibly agile in every corner. Enjoy the pictures.

Nice pic's, nice bike :smt023

If I would have been Race Control at the track I would have givven you the black flag: [smilie=to_keep_order.gif] Visor DOWN at the track..... :smt002

As I am Race Control over here in the Netherlands I have to warn a lot of racers that drive with their visor up the first lap. Never had to use the black flag so far for that issue.
You don't have to be afraid of the 100 horses underneath the seat of a motorbike, but beware of the donkey that's driving it......

Awesome, why are you not running the full fairing?

I had to make last minute adjustment and was ready to go only at the third track session of the day. I made two 20 minutes session and a big crash put an end to the party. I will have the lower fairing on the bike for next shooting in a few week. I will also test my new GoPro camera and post the video here.

That was my first experience on the track with a two-stroke and was a bit nervous but I felt confident on the bike and will definitively become an addict.

Glad you enjoyed it Eric :smt003 it did hand very well, I never had time to iron out the clearance with the fairing. As I guess you would have seen the scrapes on the bottom, only had it scrape in fast corners when the bike was under compression. Does unnerve you mind lol.

I know this is pretty random, but how is that trailer thing?
I just picked one up, but haven't had a chance to use it yet.

It was the first time I used it. It's well built and easy to use, specially with such a light bike. I can load/unload the bike alone, no problem. The only thing, I will put some light on it because you cannot see the brake light or flashers with the bike on.
