Hey new guy, whats your favorite color?, paper or plastic?, boxers or briefs?...:smt003

Really nice looking specials :smt023. Judging from the "RD/LC Crazy" decals on the tails, and the rgv suspensions, you must be from the UK, yes?

Welcome to the USA and give us some engine specs on those beasts!!!

Thanks
Pete

Wow nice set up...

I have seen a few bikes now that put the YPVS motor (rz) in a RD350LC frame....

Was the servo hard to mount with RD LC wiring.....

Looks like you used the LC rad also...

Hopefully Jess will drop some links to the threads on Norbos forum or rehost the pics here, there are a few ways to mount the PV servo and the wiring is pretty easy as the servo controller is linked off the CDI not thru the loom etc.

My understanding is that the LC rad is easier to fit cos of the fixings really, just sort the hoses out and its done...

I will be doing this soon on my LC, but it may get an Athena kit... we'll have to see how it all pans out as the parts land and the bikes get built... Either way a Hybrid is always fun and these are stunners! :smt001

Thanks for kind words chaps,
Peter, the specs for the engines are,
Red/White one
Abbey fast road tune
banshee reeds
28mm pwk's
+4 timing
s/s lomas pipes
Black one
Abbey fast road tune
V force 3 reeds
28mm pwk's
Gibson pipes with NK rd500 end cans
std 31k ingnition

the servo was really easy to mount,as shown

regarding the radiator, it is the std one however does run a little hot especially with the rentec radiator grill, I'm told the std radiator works better which I will certainly try. I've ordered an R6 fan to try out hopefully that will work.

P.S Jon your parts are already to go as soon as Norbo sends the additional parts you require.

see you soon Jess

hi ,,can you tell me what the jetting is in the VM28 PJ carbs....
I have the same set up...and all ways interested in other bikes jet sizes

Now i am thinking putting a stroker YPVS in the LC rather than building another bike...might make sense..i have the Ducati ST4 and have not gone out for a ride this season :smt003

Jimrd,
the carbs are both PWK 28mm's, anyway the jetting is different on both bikes,
Red/White bike
148 main, 40 pilot, jjh needle 2nd from top, std air box no lid or filter just the wifes tights :smt081 , will not run with filter
Black bike
150 main, 42 pilot, jjh needle top notch, foam filters
hope that helps

Jess

Cheers M8, I'll PM you in the other place when I know more, but they are 'in process' :smt002

Interesting you couldnt get it to run with the airbox lid/filter, man that must slurp some air...

WOW! Great looking bike Jess. That's one hell of an introduction. A little something for everyone in those beauties. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Welcome to the collective.

just wondering how those short silencers sound on the 350 (rz500 end cans).... i have a set here... for my rz500 lomas pipes i may just try it out on the 350... when the 500 is apart again... not fully apart .... just when i feel like giving it a good clean...

who built the kickstarter for you..... rz 500 top with 350 bottom...

i like it... thats on my list of needs...

2 ways to fit the rd500 kicker, weld the spile to the kick start, drill and tap the cog(don't know proper term) then fix in place with washer. NK racing done mine, should be easy to do though with a welder.
Other way is to use the bottom part of a 350 kicker and adapt the rd500 to fit, bought this one already done.
I could take some better pictures if you need them.
