New Guy Introduction

#1 Post by FastFalc » Tue Mar 08, 2011 4:35 am

New to RZ's but not to two strokes.

I finally picked up a 85 RZ last year and immediately fell in love after the first test ride on Thanksgiving day.
Here's a pic.

Anyway i've been lurking for a little while and decided to introduce myself.

Thanks

Looks like a 63-64 Impala to me if it's the red car in the background of his pic. I'd like to hear more about the car too anyway! :smt007

Oh and welcome and pull up a chair as you're amongst friends here with the same addiction/ disease. :smt006 :smt009 :smt002

Hey guys thanks!

The car is a 64 Impala Super Sport with a 283/powerglide drivetrain. It's a numbers matching car with 67,000 original miles and I'm the 2nd owner. It's 90% stock other than intake, exhaust and MSD ignition.

As for the RZ... The PO said the seat is a Spec II that he took the seat pad off of in favor of sticky back neoprene. I swapped it out in favor of the stock seat and tail.

At this point a 98 R1 fork (complete) and VJ22 swingarm (not so complete) have fallen on my lap and I'm starting to lean towards building a hybrid after this riding season.
