Thanks.

SpecII RZ pipes
P.D.Q. full port job
Welded crank
Snorkel removed from airbox, OEM filter
Barnett clutch

It has about 50km on a full engine rebuild. I have it jetted at 290 mains (stock is 220), but I think it still needs more gas. The plugs look "safe", but it is still not pulling full rpm in top... better than the 250s I started with though. [smilie=blink.gif]

If it's not revving out then you are to rich that's how it works. You might think it's running better with the bigger jets but the bike doesn't think, it knows. Drop the main until it revs to the limit of the pipe wich looks like a Spec II street, so 10,500. Once it revs out then drop one more if it still sputters. It should rev very quickly, if it revs to 10,500 but not real fast it might still sputter. Drop by #10 at a time then fine tune if you like, but not needed. What the hell is a P.D.Q. port job? that is an important factor for jetting specs. Most people think the main needs to go way up but it doesn't, unless you have a bit of porting done and a high rpm pipe. The stock rz was jetted rich on the main so it could survive a cold dry day pretty much anywhere in the world. Much dryer than you will ever see in CAD.
Thanks.

310s and needle second from full lean seems to be the magic combo. :smt003
