My "beater" RZ

#1 Post by lazerfloyd » Sat Jun 20, 2009 12:57 pm

Soooooo... with all of the neat custom RZ's and showroom-quality restorations on this board, I thought I'd go to the other end of the spectrum and post pics of my well-worn RZ up here. The speedo has about 22k miles on it, and it looks it. Plastics are cracked and stained, and the decals are wearing off. The motor has scratches on the cases. BUT it's only on it's first overbore, and runs great... the only mods are a 2-1 intake and SpecII pipes. It still turns heads and gets attention. I love this bike!

Thats pretty cool! I have never seen white expansion chambers before! Are they difficult to keep clean?

Yeah, white was a poor choice. I was curious how it would look, but knew I was asking for trouble. I think I took those pics when I first pulled the bike out of the basement for the season. They don't look like that now. They're going to come off again next winter when I freshen up the top end, probably going back to black. Or possibly red?
