Good looking bike!

How long have you owned it? I see some nice mods. What do you have on it?

polished wheel edges and fork and triple clamp

toomey battery box
lomas stainless pipes
oversize radiator
single seat
carbon reeds and rejetting carbs
wide friction clutch plate with barnett heavy duty springs
clubman drop bars
520 gold did chain smaller front sprocket
all new running bearings wheels and tapered steering head ( when i got her stripped down it still had the original ball bearings in steering head)
fresh paint all over and decals kenny roberts set
fork oil etc..
plans for the future rebuild rear shock or look for after market one and steering damper i dont think i will do too much more than that bike is a pleasure to ride as it is just need a little bit more handling

Wow! You've been busy. :smt003

Excellent work.

Those front brake rotors look worlds lighter than OEM.

they are stainless steel pipes contact rz unlimited or rg500 web sites the pipes sound unreal sooo crisp and crackly you will have to rejet obviously cant tell you the exact difference to power as my bike was a basket case when i bought it but overall very happy i did have to cut a small section out of bellypan for pipes to fit without burning the plastic fairing not noticable to look at bike i need to get a rear shock for my bike am looking for something to raise ride hieght and offer stiffer suspension corner speed on the 350 is unbelievable and ground clearence for bottom chambers is needed as the rear shock on my bike is saggy...

good luck with your pipes

i notice you are from Canada as well. so i thought i would mention i am supposed to be getting my JL pipes tomorrow. i ordered them from Andreas at http://www.drt.ca.tt he is really nice guy. i got a good deal. (much better then importing from rg500 or rz's-unlimited.)

i can't comment on the performance as i have not received them yet. if i get them tomorrow; as i am supposed to, they will have taken about 6 weeks to get. which isn't bad considering they are made to order from the Czech Republic.

ragards,
Alex D
ps. i will post pics as soon as i get to pipes to show them off!

I agree!!

Even if you live in the states, like me - Andreas is the best guy to contact for JL pipes.

Excellent customer service. :smt001

no i dont think they make a selection of pipes for either low range power or top end power but i think it has definitely raised the top end rush of power bike really comes on the pipe power high up in the rev range

Hi Aaron, beautiful RZ mate - I'm very jealous..... this is my first post on this site after stumbling across it yesterday - very excited to see there are other RZ nuts out there in Aussie. I saw your bike when it was in Rapid - so recognised it instantly when I saw it here.

After owning 4 x RZ350's (every model - 1983-K, 1984-L, 1985-FN & 1986-FS) in NZ in the past I'm keen to get hold of another one in Aus - but decent ones are few and far between - I've looked at so many bikes that are junk but people are now wanting good $$ for. I think at some stage I'm going to have to face the fact that I'll need to rebuild a bike to get anything decent - don't suppose you want to sell it???? :smt002

I'm keen to have one painted in KR colours like in the US, given you've got a white one I guess when I finally get one I'll have to go yellow!

Cheers, Richard.

rebuilding a complete bike is more fun anyway, good luck getting one they are asking decent dollars for a scrappy one already might be a good idea to keep an eye out for a 250 and build from there, they seem to come up more often, i am loving riding the 350 it really is good fun and i am not far off a rz 500 rebuild :smt003 :smt003 check out videos on youtube search for my user name aaronmvrider
dont bid on anything until last seconds on ebay to try to get a bargain you may be bidding against me
i also love the black yellow colours
Cheers

Thanks Aaron, after your comments I think i may lower my sights a little, I've passed on quite a few bikes over the past 2 years.... I ended up buying a new Triumph Street Triple as it reminded me of the early RZ's in both styling and attitude so would love to have a RZ350 to keep it company.

Good luck with the RZ500 build and hope we don't enter too many ebay bidding wars on the same stuff!
