Hi Guys, here some pic's of my near-motard rz powered bike
is one of few motard-style, in particoular, my bike isn't a really
motard bike but a road/track geometry rolling chassis with a
offroad style and ride position.
i made myself steel/aluminium frame and a lot of parts of this bike
bike was ending on dec, 2002 but the project started a lot of time before
is funy to ride and very quickly on corner.

A nice piece of work. Stunning, actually. I'd love to ride it, being an old motocrosser. I really like the motard style things, or whatever you call it. I'll have to build one one day. But the problem is making it street legal here and that is where I'd want it to be. On the street!!!

Hi Guys, i write some more info about the bike
the strange idea comes about te-eleven years ago
some elucubration in my mind and a confused scketch on paper
here the original detail and some specification
some inspiration about Guzzi Dr.John frame, a simple layout and frame material and style.
the idea to have a street chassis geometry, wheel and components, with a rise and wide offroar handlebar and offroad body too.
first step was to drawing all project on cad and to build the steel part
of frame.
after a period of stop i find the cross body and some other component
and the work restarted with milling aluminium plates to complete frame.
bike mount an FZR1000 genesis front fork (with different spring), brake and caliper, rear swingarm too and Exup rear shock, but after the second ride i switch swingarm with a FJ unit, little bit longer than FZR that give more stability at the bike.
rear suspension work little bad than first solution, probabily the linkage
rising too much load on final part of stroke, but the bike less nervous
at high speed.
wheel are marchesini magnesium
engine is near to stock, a complete control and a little rise at compression
ratio, chambers hanbuilt copy Figaroli dimensions and sponge filter instead
of airbox (no space enough) and fiberglass reed valve that improve
low and midrange
the bike run a 17/40 transmission with a 17" rear wheel, short and fun
not build to obtain top speed but to have more mid range boost.
the bike is not street legal, in italy is near to impossible to ride a custom
bike on pubblic road, and i can ride it only on closed racetrack
a bad thing is that bike is very fun and enjoyable (just a little loud) and ride it on street would be beautiful
that's all
