Posted the first post with new app so was not sure it was going to work.

Picked up this RZ a while back. Plan is to build it, ride it and then maybe give it a restoration later on down the road.

I have built a few RD's and have wanted an RZ for a long time. Have been a long time lurker here and recently signed up now that the RZ is getting some attention.

Working on the pipes and rear sets at the moment.

Sweet bikes!

Love the mods on all 3. Why the Daytona head on the standard 400 and the starburst head on the Daytona?
Did you build the gold wheels on the Daytona? What hubs did you use and where did the rims come from?

Yes the Daytona head is on the 78- I like it better than the stock heads. After I got the wheels on the Daytona I had to add the DG heads.

The wheels are DID. The hubs are RD350. I bought them built and then made them work on the Daytona- I had to give up rear disc brake and use the drum. Using an Rd350 swingarm as well. Eventually I may try to convert back to disc. The hub is just too pricey to justify doing the conversion at this point.
