Well the comparison is quite difficult as we are speaking abt different bikes.
Also this specific RGV is the open unrestricted model VJ22A open CDI with 34mm carbs , speedo 240 klm and announced 62 hp & top speed 210 klm.
I mention this because there are restricted Japan models with restricted CDI , speedo 180 klm , 32mm carbs announced 45 hp.

With the 421cc there is nothing to compare as that bike pulled away with grunt at all rpm like a locomotive.

The RGV 250 shows weak at low rpm's and when revving at idle revs feel quite weak but that is due to the design of these V-2 engines
once you hit over 5000 rpm then the bike really wakes up , the engine revs high and gives you the feeling like a small race replica.

With the yellow RZ 350 I would say that the RZ would be in the front but maybe the RGV would catch it high top speed because of aerodynamics.

Jon I would never , never dismantle this RGV :smt010

heehee, I know, I was just joking mate. :)

The Japanese spec has a lesser rear shock, but... it does have one good part... it has the SP lower triple clamp in alloy :)

A small update , time has changed for me ,
I still do not own a RZ :smt011 :smt011

With my sick habbits surely that 421cc would not be able to catch up with me ,
I've blown it three or four times if I remember well ,
One time she seized on me with last gear going flat on throttle maybe 210 +++ klm
and was sliding all over the place ..... ( thank god I was able to save that one , the lock up clutch delayed to release :smt036 )

I've changed lots bikes ,
for dirt I own now a Husky FC 350
Image

Image

Still own my two liter bikes GSXR 1000 R with many mods :smt023 sick fast bike pulls like a loco , then the Aprilia RSV-4 best handling bike
also got a NSR MC21 ( wet clutch ) .....
Image

Then I was looking for a RZ again and suddenly this one ..... Honda NSR 250 MC18 1989 SP tera ( dry clutch )
Still to complete , new paint , full engine rebuilt , tank , wheels ,
Image
Image

JHA exhausts
Image

or Tyga SS we will see :smt035 will try out both
Image

Also the Berg 650 , another sick single , pulls like a train.
Image

Then I'm still looking for a RZ , this one pops up Cagiva Mito 125cc SP 525
Image

Image

Arrow exhaust for this one
Image

So I'm still looking out for a RZ and this one sparkled ..............
GPZ 1000 RX 1987 model in stock condition ........will make this one like new

That IT brings back memories. Raced many enduro miles on 2 different IT 200's. Could take them apart with my eyes closed....

Petros! I like your taste in bikes. I would welcome almost all of the street bikes and I am quite picky about what stays in my garage!
