Most definitely!! I had even thought about doing my rims in plastidip -blaze yellow.

Good look you have going on there.

Don't use PlastiDip. Due to it's rougher surface. Oil from the pipes, is extremely stubborn to clean off your wheels. Ordinary or automotive paint is much easier to clean due to it's smoother surface. PlastiDip is very durable and looks very nice. But, it's difficult to clean and keep clean. That fact only gets worst as time passes. Especially, from 2 stroke oil. You have to scrub the wheels first with something mildly abrasive, to remove the oil from the pours from the PlastiDip. Then keep the surface wet, followed by wiping away dirt, oil, etc with an ordinary rag. A simple wipe from an ordinary rag alone will do nothing. It creates a ton of work to keep them clean. You won't have that problem using better paint.

That's a great tip. I had a discussion with a drag racer tonight and we chatted about powder coating. I'm not a fan, although it looks great. We both agreed on this one. He did one frame once, and never again. Repairs on a powder coated item are a bitch and a half. Strip, weld, grind, and repaint. :smt026

The yellow is yamaha original I believe, if not someone did a fine job with them way before me. It use to have blue & yellow plastics but they were in rough shape so they needed a little attention & they are not perfect but look a whole lot better then when I first bought the bike.
