hi good morning :smt006

can some body tell me the torque for the 12 mm nuts
on the bottom of the engine cases (8) nuts in pounds

I used a spare set of cylinder nuts with the built in washer

the cases are back together ,,,, installing the cylinders next...

It appears to me from the 80-82 RD/LC Haynes manual... the (8) - 8mm nuts on the bottom of the engine case should be torqued in two stages to 18 ft/lbs. These nuts would most likely have a 12mm head but are not 12 mm nuts. I hope this is what you are asking

Thank you
I snuggled up all the nuts and bolts
Now I can torque to 18
And get cylinders and head on ....
Get this 5 year engine project done

Before I start pulling the race car apart ...
