Re: New LC project.... Restoration... I know, I know...

Cool Ta :) I've still got a pair of 83 LCII forks I need to try and find springs for..

Do you mind me asking what they cost to get done ? I've got a couple of pairs that need doing.

Re: New LC project.... Restoration... I know, I know...

Hi Jon, What is your source for the fork springs ? Also, couldn't quite tell from the photos which version they are.. I also can't seem to find the photo showing the difference in springs :/ Did you have your stanchions re-chromed locally ? EDIT: Oh, I see they are LC forks now.. obviously.. http://...

Re: Rz350 power valve cycles after almost every kick

Hows your battery ? I remember having something similar to this when mine was toast.

I'm guess the voltage was dropping enough to reset the controller.

Re: Rz250 ferrings on a rz350???

Ignoring the colour schemes there are basically 2 types of body work, the LC2/F/N (Earlier) and the F2 (Later) Basically all the plastics are interchangeable in between the Earlier editions (Pre 86' ??) but not the F2 and later There are some subtle differences in the Front cowl and some of the fron...

Re: LC2 Swingarm Bush

Thanks mate, yea, been a bit quiet with life taking the place of motorcycles for a while :)

Still got love for my RZ's though, got tired of seeing my LC2 being neglected out the back and decided to strip it and bring it back to life.

Re: Front Master Brake Cylinder Stupid question

Yea, its rubber, just stretch it over, may need to do half then the next half of the seal or roll it over the ridge

As suggested, lubricating it will make things easier and reduce the risk of damaging it.

Re: LC2 Swingarm Bush

Thanks for the offer mate, I have a few spare myself already though :) I'm building an LC2 at the moment, I was tempted to use one of the spare 84'+ ones I have, so much easier as the bearings are easily obtainable and I have some good pivot shafts. Decided to stick with the original for better or w...

Re: LC2 Swingarm Bush

Yea, these were the easily hardest things I've ever hd to get out of any RZ component. They appear to have Red Loctite (or something similar thats red) on them, wasn't expecting that from the factory so perhaps added by someone later. Could be the case that I didn't get them to 260 deg. to break the...

Re: LC2 Swingarm Bush

Man.. what a PITA... Nothing I had in the tool box would get the little bastard out.. Couldn't find a suitable drift/punch so ended up at Bunnings buying a piece of metal rod, chopped it to size, hardened one of the ends, $7 well spent. Heated the Swingarm up on a gas burner and managed to get one o...

Yea, figured as much, taken out plenty of the later model bearings with no dramas, these are just being a far more troublesome.

LC2 Swingarm Bush

Any advice on removing the bush from the LC2 swingarm, So far I've tried a slide hammer with heat applied but its well and truly in there. Thinking I might have to rig something up in the press swbush2.jpg swbusk1.jpg Replacements available from Yambits http://yambits.co.uk/rd350-ypvs-lc2-swing-arm-...
