Keep at it. Will be great to see the bike running again.

Once I start on my bike again. I'll post my progress.

Maybe I'll poke around the forum for a bit. I've been away for quite a while.

Re: Vintage Motorcycle Show - Paris Ontario

Hey Jeff, how's the bike running? Hi Rory, It's not really running at this point in time. I didn't run it last summer either. It's sad. I have a new crank that needs installing. There are some other transmission bearings that need changing. I have an awesome set of GPL pipes that I need to mount. I...

Re: Vintage Motorcycle Show - Paris Ontario

I'm a literally 15 mins away (in Brantford), so I think works out well. Plus if it soo wet, no big deal to bail and go home.

That Fathers Day thing has a habit of doing that.

I went last year on the Sunday (had to work Saturday) and there wasnt much there. Looked like Saturday was THE day to be there. On the upside, I did see a lot of nice 2T's on the road as i was going into Paris.

Vintage Motorcycle Show - Paris Ontario

For the Southern Ontario crowd. Paris Ontario is having the annual Vintage Motorcycle show in the fairgrounds this weekend.

I'm told the 'theme' will triples. Should be interesting.

I'll be there around 10am

Re: O-Rings for Toomeys

Not sure on the size. Could you remove a pipe and measure one up? They are most likely a standard imperial ring.

Re: Public Reactions riding the 2 stroke?

For the short time that I've had my bike on the road - I get the thumbs up most places I go. The people that aren't from the 'era' eyeball my bike hard trying to figure out WTF it is and why it's on fire (smoking). The guys from the era always yell RD or RZ while giving me 2 thumbs up. My 4 stroke b...

Re: What's a good 2-stroke injection oil to use nowadays?

I used Silkolene and Belray back in the day (late 80's). Funny enough, I still have a CASE of Belray sitting in my garage CIRCA 1990.

Amosil Interceptor now.

Re: Bringing her back to life

fyi you can buy a controller for these from amazon, i think its on my build somewhere, i havent fitted it yet but you can set the temp and forget etc. I was looking at them, but didn't see anything on Amazon Canada. The other units that I saw - don't ship to Canada. I'll just go with toggle switch ...

Re: Bringing her back to life

Good suggestion. I didn't know that you could get different thermostats, but then I've never investigated it. I've never investigated it because I thought that my current one worked properly. I can start my bike, let it idle, watch the temp rise (3/4 of max temp), then see it drop as the thermostat ...

Re: Bringing her back to life

Too late on cutting across the line. I just zipped it off and ground the other piece off. That arm was longer than the rest, so it could be cut down. There is so little room for this fan to fit in without touching, I was thinking that I might just be better attaching it directly to the rad with some...

Re: Bringing her back to life

I've had some overheating issues that got me worried by the end of last season. At first, I wasn't truly convinced that it was related to a leaky engine. I leak tested it when it went in - all was good. When I I starting having issues, I bought the rad and then the fan. Once my idle went up by itsel...
