Re: YSS Rear Shock + Expectations

What I noticed first about the Fox shock when I put it on my RZ was the way the bike transitioned from leaning one way to leaning the other. With the stock shock, the bike rose up as the shock extended (no rebound damping). With the Fox, rebound feels controlled. Imagine going from full right turn t...

Re: From Petcock to carbs

You should have a fuel supply line with a T to supply each carburetor, and a vacuum line. The supply line is larger in diameter.

Re: Any high mileage RZ’s out there ?

My '85 is just about to turn over 40,000 miles, rebuilt from the crank up once. Like Martin's, though, not many parts are original!

Re: Overheating issues

You can view the impeller by taking off the flat steel plate to drain the coolant, but to do anything with the pump...yeah, you're draining transmission oil and removing the clutch cover.

Hagon shock for Elsie

I'm considering a Hagon shock for my RD350LC project bike; a fellow on Facebook has one for $400, which seems reasonable. It has some ride height adjustment, preload and combined rebound/compression damping. What do y'all think of these features for this price? I only know of Hagon's reputation.

Re: AL Swingarm

Motolanna sells a couple of arms for the SR500 that just need a spacer on each side of the pivot to fit the air-cooled RD350. https://i.postimg.cc/fW2hRQT0/42-A99-AA0-D1-EA-4296-B9-D7-F30-FFD2-CDA05.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/C51TsmJ1/79-C8-D149-CDCA-4137-B24-B-9-A7163-DF66-EA.jpg https://i.postimg.cc...

Re: FZ600: Buy the bike or just swingarm?

I like the footpegs and brackets of the FZ; smaller than RZ stuff and a simple, flat mounting plate with two bolt holes. OEM parts still available last time I checked. If you get the whole bike, you can just transfer the whole swingarm, wheel, cush drive and brake setup, easy-peasy. As you probably ...

Re: Master cylinders and calipers... Confusion and questions

Wow, thanks for the information! Since I posted this, a great deal of life has happened: a divorce, a heart attack, two moves, a reunion with an old love, a wedding and a house purchase. The master cylinder is still packed away with the rest of the project, waiting to be moved into the garage of the...
