I just went through this same scenario. Bought an rz350. Chassis is 85, engine and harness is 84. It also had no spark, followed the manual and checked all components with a multimeter. Ok just wasnt sure. There are no signs of any leakage at the base gaskets. Everything is dry, no signs of an air leak. Im getting the head checked for flatness so with the new gasket all should be fine then.

Yes i was gonna go with a yamaha part. Luckily my local yamaha dealer still has lots of rz stuff. Got a oem taillight assy still in the box and 2 carb rebuild kits. He has 2 NOS cdi boxes. Lots of little stuff..

Hi all, Got the zeel box installed and got the bike up and running. There is tons of white smoke and coolant coming out the exhaust pipes. Engine was fully rebuilt 5 yrs ago. Well, i really didnt mean it that way. With the Cad at barely around 70 cents. That $240 box cost about $425 by the time it got to me. But it was gonna cost me $300 Cad for a NOS box from the dealer. The Zeel i feel was the better deal. Now just get it painted to original and neaten up the wiring. I...

I found a 52y-50 cdi box for $200. Its a new one, not used. Is there a way to wire this cdi box in place of the 29k cdi box?
