Re: 251LC
Nice work there Jon they look great! Were you in danger of breaking the needles or pins? Is this very delicate work? As a new guy here I am not very active as I am a watch and learn type of person. I really enjoy watching the progress of your build and look for your posts daily.... so your not wasti...

Re: RDLC crank needed.
1mm wider big end bearings basically . Doesn't read as much... but it's definitely significant RZ cranks are a few (2?) mm wider accross the webs as result. These are direct drop in fits into 'some' LC cases..dependant of what cycle of the production run they were in. Regardless LC cases can easily...

Re: Restoring a RZ tank vid
[quote="LC Cnd"]Starts about 1:25 and is the 1st in a series. The vid sound like its shot in New England and the guy is fixing the paint on the lower right hand bottom corner. He has some interesting paint tips & fairing repair info. Thanks for that link. Seems Windy has a bunch of goo...

:smt006 I have never worried too much about having my bikes stolen..... might be a mistake. I saw an ad on Kijiji a while back looking for people who wanted their bikes in movies and TV commercials. They wanted vintage and unique bikes.... BIG RED FLAG .... what better way to find out where your tar...

Re: Ceramic clutch pusher ball- good upgrade or not?
I have found myself in need of a steel ball on more than one occasion over my time. The easiest way to get a ball is to break the cage on an old radial ball bearing ( lots that size in your engine so look at ones you have replaced ). Just use a punch between the balls and you will soon have a clutch...

Re: Resoration supplies Canada
Scott I used BBQ paint on the header for my GB500 and I will say it has to be at least 7 years or more now, and it is as good as the day I sprayed it. I know I purchased it at CTC, but I can't remember what brand. The paint went on black and flat... I baked it by running the bike for short periods a...

Resoration supplies Canada
I found a company that sell lots of handy products that could be very handy in a restoration project. The company is located in Palmerston Ontario and that's good for us using $$$$ CAD. They sell fuel tank repair kits, powder paints, buffing supplies, heat paint, plating kits and supplies and more. ...

Re: A small collection
I really like the GB500. I could have sworn they were sold here for 1 year. :smt017 But I believe you. Only seen a few around. Do you ride around Campbellville ever? I saw my first GB500 in Key West Fla. in 1992 it was on the showroom floor with a tag that was priced at $2800 brand new. I said righ...

Those are all so clean and nice! Here in the US, we got the Kaw W650 from 2000-01 and the Honda GB500 single for 1-2 yrs in the late 80's early 90's. That version of the CX650 we did not receive and that may be the best looking one outside of the CX650 Turbo! Thank you We in Canada did not get the ...

Re: 251LC
Jon Thanks for the info on the plating you use. I can't seem to find much on the internet here in the Toronto or central Ontario area. I may have to rely on other Ontario members for advise. I won't be starting my restoration for at least 6 or 8 weeks but I have always wondered where to get this gre...
