Re: Carb (bore) size.. What is best? (and intake tract leng
I see in your original post you mentioned reed spacers and I want to give my recent experience with them. Running a 84 rz350 with pipes and stock carbs with a Dynajet kit in them. Y boot with big K&N. I tried a set of 6mm reed spacers. Rode the bike about 15 miles with them. What they did was p...

Re: Carb (bore) size.. What is best? (and intake tract leng
Properly sized boost bottles will do the same thing as an airbox. Reference Harry Barlow for that one. So what is "properly sized"? :smt003 Must admit, I had been wondering... why a crossover pipe if you need a 2 into 1 yboot or an airbox for that matter.. Also been wondering if a boost b...

Re: Carb (bore) size.. What is best? (and intake tract leng
Regarding airboxes.. (I personally don't like them... take up space, make things harder to work on, ugly too) Ironically, Kevin Cameron comes up again... honestly just a coincidence.. I hadn't spoken with him again nor even read his stuff for a couple of decades, till I stumbled on to this one thing...

First off, thanks to both who've replied so far. I hope that if I seem combative it's just passionate debate, because I've come to respect both posters greatly over the years that I've been reading and learning from their posts... Evan: the term "in the rev range" is a bit misleading. In t...

Carb (bore) size.. What is best? (and intake tract length)
Ok, this will probably be a more theoretical thread... (assuming anyone replies.. lol) But could be helpful to some on a practical level. So, which is better for a given combo? Larger or smaller? What does "better" mean, for that matter? Well, none other than the great tuner/columnist Kevi...

Re: PWK 28 Jetting Thread 2018..
As for myself: I'm tackling this now finally, for various reasons.. (partly because I hate like poison to $ rebuild the stockers) Just assembling the relevant items for now.. Would be helpful to know which jets/needles to order... since these things are getting pricey now.. Bike = 84, Stock bore/str...

PWK 28 Jetting Thread 2018..
I went back a year in the engines forum and found nothing up to date on the PWK 28s. Read many old threads... Info scattered over many many pages.. nothing really definitive... (I realize jetting varies) Maybe we can organize it in a more useful way, and bring the info up to date? My hope is that si...

Re: All Balls , bearing conv kit question.
Gonna do just that! Soon as I have a chance.... Its mostly a matter of breaking it free initially... So just chisel carefully... I saw a vid of it on 'tube.. by one of the major parts outlets... they used store bought expensive tools for every other operation... so chisel on race is considered koshe...

Now see, THIS is why I LOVE this board!!! Ask a question about a product from a totally unfamiliar vendor, and get an answer, via a wide smattering of sources, in 24hrs instead of making yet another bad gamble and huge frustration!!! Leaving aside the humorous nature of the name... keyster... LMAO.....

Interesting product! Will it work?
Found on the bay while searching out a carb rebuild kit for the stock U.S. carbs: http://www.ebay.com/itm/162239587514?ul_noapp=true Looks to me like a handy dandy item! Question IS, would it work for the U.S. model carbs? Kit is meant for the Japan only models.... but the carb top gaskets look righ...

Re: Correct Year Range for FZ600 Swinger Swap PLZ???
Longer link arms will allow the bottom of the shock to go further through the swingarm, lowering the bike. That clears up that part! I wish one could just flip the darn thing over... but I know you can't... While you are pondering offsetting the pivot to centre the wheel between the arms consider th...

Re: Correct Year Range for FZ600 Swinger Swap PLZ???
I don't trust it until I understand it... which I understand as you do this is not as easy as many make it to be Amen Brother! The mod to the linkage that I did was to make up for the difference in the locations of the mounting points to allow for a correct ride height. Yes, I'd noticed some time a...
