Re: RZ250R WITH 350 TOP END - MAIN JET SIZE

Are you still using the 250 exhausts ?
If so you will need a set to suit a 350, what you are describing sounds like that is your issue
The second point is that keyster kits are not as good as one would wish

Re: RZ350 adjustable power valve contoller

It will have a series of switches on the base of it
They are either on or off, no computer needed
There are sequences somewhere online, or email the maker at Two Stroke Racelab, there is a picture of an 86 setting
And yes it will work on an 84, probably all models I’d say

Re: RZ250R 1GA Decals

I used Classics on my RZ350R

They also changed the UK RD350 to the Aus RZ350R for the mid panel

The only issue my painter found was that the vinyl was “painted” as opposed to being a coloured vinyl

The painted coating came off when he was wiping the panel down with prepsol

Re: Clear coat on tank corroded from gas

I have used both the Spraymax solid colour with clear coat on top with a lot of success, and with just the base colour too I did the clutch cover and the top engine cover, rims, sprocket carrier and other bits on my RZ F1 It comes out of the can very nicely and gives really good coverage and an exce...

Be careful with that Alumibrite, Jon

Hydrofluoric acid is no good for you

Get enough of it on you, it can mame and has killed, strips the calcium out of you very rapidly, unlike most other acids the body has no defence against it

As said a dremel wire brush works wonders on the seal grooves

Re: Air Activated Clutch

Air operated gear change is a boon for disabled riders who can no longer use their legs

I know of two riders who have that system, one actually races a bike, a Ducati 1198, he always has to start last as he needs someone to hold the bike up.

Very rarely does he finish last though

Re: AIR COMPRESSOR CFM QUESTION

Hi Mark What you want to look at is the Free Air Delivery (FAD) of the compressor and compare that to the rating of the air tool, this you will probably need to ask, the figure on the box may not be the FAD but rather maximum air delivery, two very different figures Most air tools only require 90psi...

Re: Japanese industry Standard (JIS) screwdrivers

I doubt you'll be able to grind down the phillips bits The cross in the centre has a rounded profile at the centre of the arms of the cross, this makes the bit cam out of the head possible destroying it as it does so the JIS is pretty much a right angle at the centre, they will fit normal phillips h...

Re: Brand New Crated RD500

Have you read all the postings relating to this article If you scroll down to near the end you'll see some numpty claim that RZ's are 4 strokes only RD's are 2 strokes IF it was found in Australia and not imported from elsewhere then it would be an RZ A friend of mine has the first of the R1's still...

Yes you can literally drive from Singapore to Malaysia across a causeway at Johor Baru, however its a 4 hour trip to get to KL When I go to the GP in Sepang, the amount of 2T's across the road afterwards is astounding, in all sorts of condition Like Jon says their meets sometimes have more than 200 ...

Re: Oil at the bottom of one fork

I removed the seal, the dust cover and the wire clip fairly easily To remove the top plug I just started to unwind it with socket and ratchet, after about 3 turns I dispensed with the socket and kept downward pressure on the plug and slowly unwound it by hand I didn't seem to have any issue with it ...
