Re: Competition Yellow Paint Code Cross Reference
If you find an answer to this please let me know! I had a paint swatch and used it to previously paint a KR RZ but has since lost that paint...Wil see if we can find it. The match was done off a museum bike that hadn't had sun fade. I ended up getting a paint code by taking a small piece of origina...

Still looking for information on what this is used for and why it's part of the carburetors.

Re: Motor Doesn't Rev-Up
I found the "Main" problem with the bike not being able to Rev-Up. The original mains were #320's and when I checked the spark plugs they were very wet. I'm not sure how the guy I bought it from was able to ride it like that but it could also explain the condition of the bike with I first ...

Re: Motor Doesn't Rev-Up
Update: Removed the carburetors and re-cleaned each one. Removed and cleaned each main jet and emulsion tubes. (one tube was a little dirty but not bad. the other was fairly clean) Removed and cleaned the float valve jet bodies. (they were not that dirty) Checked float level. A-OK (didn't have to ad...

Carburator Question
I'm not exactly sure of what the area I'm pointing at used for. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53255596666_4c611b7861_k.jpg This port I'm pointing at comes up thru the area in the next picture of the float bowl. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53255887258_1a1d491b3d_k.jpg And this area in t...

Motor Doesn't Rev-Up
After doing a complete and full bike rebuild-restoration on my 1983 RZ-350 I have a question. I'm using the exact same carburetors. (they have been thoroughly cleaned, reassembled and timed to open at the exact same time) I'm using the exact same pipes. (Spec II) I'm using the exact same plugs. (bra...

Re: Picking Up My 1984 RZ-350 Project Bike This Weekend
The bodywork looks fantastic!!! I spent over two weeks on just the gas tank. There were quite a number of small dents plus a fairly large dent on the top left side. One of the guys I worked with does full auto restorations and he helped me remove that large dent. When you're trying to feather out a...

Re: Picking Up My 1984 RZ-350 Project Bike This Weekend
We've had important family issues keep me away from my RZ project. This last week I finally finished shooting the paint and clear. I can't say enough positive things about the graphics that rzsunlimited has available. Their product is amazing and their customer service is outstanding. I have a few r...

Re: Competition Yellow Paint Code Cross Reference
Or... Does anyone have any original yellow plastic parts that they can send my direction.
I can take that part into the paint shop and have then scan it into their system and get the correct shade of yellow.
Thanks.

Competition Yellow Paint Code Cross Reference
I've tried a number of paint suppliers in my area and not one of them can find anything in their books or information where they can mix the paint. The correct paint code from Yamaha is CPY 0026. Is there an updated code or paint information I can use? I could just choose a yellow out of their books...
