Re: ypvs wheel weight diff

You should never powder coat structural components: frames, swing arms, wheels. The heat changes the molecular structure of the alloys. I know this statement opens a can of worms. Your 1UA wheels are not stock since they have been powder coated, so the weight will likely differ from what they were. ...

Re: Stock exhaust performance

Sounds like they ran pretty good on the bike they were on. A rich running bike runs quite a bit leaner when you put pipes on. Jetting right really helps the cause as well. The crud around the silencer should be Sandy brown and a bit gritty.

Re: Hi again.

Yeah, it hurts. I’m not wealthy, but I’ll keep trying to deal with them. There are a lot of miles between us, so that does not make it any easier.

Re: Sorting the Canadian RZ

The Canadian 26mm carbs are fantastic. I’ve never felt a need to increase the size of the carbs on my RZs. This is especially so if you are riding the bike on the street.
I run my bikes with pipes and K&N pods: 56 wheel hp with stock barrels.

I’d buy the whole bike. Hands down.

Re: Hi again.

Hey Wade, thank you. Not working with AirTECH anymore. I sent them full bodywork for an F2 to copy, including tank. There are key components that are in high demand: tank, tail centre section and upper fairing which is shared by the RZ500. The owner, Kent, said to me that he does not have the stuff ...

Re: Stock exhaust performance

A bit of food for thought. You might want to do a chemical dip on your exhaust for more power. The 1UA bikes came to Canada jetted way too rich, just like all the other RZs. They will more than likely be very plugged up with oil and crud. Most owners did not jet the bikes to local conditions. You’d ...

Re: repro tanks

No to the East Indian tanks. I take it you are talking for a 31K RZ. Good options are AirTECH, for a fibreglass unit which you can buy with the appoxy coating straight from them, or Byron Cox in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada area. He manufactures aluminum versions. He’s about double the price of AirT...

Those are great videos.
I had to watch the Ducati Desmocedici video too. We have one in the shop right now. I’ll get video of it when we fire it up in the coming weeks.

Re: Hi again.

Thanks Evans!
You’ll see a lot more of me. I’m on a mission. Been waiting a while for this.
I’m still trying to figure out how to post pics. Nothing is working for me on my phone, yet.

Re: Hi again.

Thanks. I forget names, it’s been about 5 years. It will take a while.

Can anyone tell me or direct me to a thread that can instruct me how to post pics from my phone?
Last pics I posted were from my computer, now long gone.

Re: KR RZ at Mecum Vegas (sold)

I plan on selling project bikes in the near future. I’m in Alberta. I won’t take less than $4,000. That’s for a bike that does not run. $5,000 for a runner. We Canadians are starting to clue in that these bikes have been shipped out of the country and are no longer a dime a dozen. I don’t think I’ll...

Hey Ken, I have been watching your garage posts. It was 6 years ago now that I dropped by your place. Time flies. I have been so busy and so have you. Lol.

Hi again.

I’m back, after a long absence. It’s been more than a couple of years. I got married 3 years ago, and bought a second house last summer with my wonderful wife and the good news is that I have some space to work. Yesterday morning, I picked up about 500lbs of RZ350 parts. I still have 12 RZs. Now wit...
