Re: 2strokeworld.com
Try changing web browsers. Seems you have transport layer security issues that may be due to the version of whatever it is you are using. Tried other browsers. Not working for me. Tried every setting on the phone I can find. Nothing has worked to get me on the site. Are you using an old computer? M...

Re: Boost Bottle Dyno
If it pulls cleaner it will measure higher output across the board. Remember time is part of the equation to calculate horsepower. TorqueXRPM/5252=HP. Revolutions per Minute. Top fuel crankshafts rotate about 600 times in a 4 second run and are estimated in excess of 10 thousand HP.

Re: Boost Bottle Dyno
I tried that and found an off idle stumble I couldn't tune out w/30MM VMs. While Barlow found a power increase w/boost bottle most of what I felt was an increase in driveability. That soft area 3-5K RPM where the stumble shows up sans airbox was much cleaner and a smooth transition into the powerban...

Re: Boost Bottle Dyno
Harry Barlow did a lot of dyno testing developing a boost bottle for the RZ engine. He's a tough guy to pin down solid information on though. There's an SAE paper on the Yamaha YEIS by Noriyuki Hata and a couple others as well. I have a Barlow bottle I got from Supertune Chuck that worked well but n...

Re: FUEL
First of all my RZ is modified. I run VP U4.4 in the RZ. It ain't cheap ('bout $15 a gallon) but the bike is a toy not transportation. Over time the U series has been changed to a much more stable concoction. No more need to drain the float bowls after use to avoid the goo accumulation. R+M/2 is 108...

Ah fuck this place there's nothing here that can't be found elsewhere.evan_calgary wrote:I'm not asking about making them....as per the title i'm just wondering what they would be called. If Yamaha's race team offered these as a performance product (not that they would) what would hey call them?

It certainly is shiny. And the chain is loose enough to cause damage should it ever be ridden.
