Re: kobra's 1985 RZ350NC2 basket case restoration
Looking into buying some seals (brake master cylinders, calipers), and found the K&L brand stuff for a variety of things. They have intake spigot/boots, rear caliper seals, master cylinder rebuild kits, carb rebuild kits, etc. I have used them once before for their carb rebuild kits and never h...

That's a standard gen 2 Virago frame.
Cool bike however.

Agreed, one step at a time. If only there were more hours in a day.

Re: Blowing oil on new motor
421 on stock barrels? not unless you went +8 crank and trenched the cases. 66.5 pretty much max unless you feel like working alum to alum which doesn't work. Clean it up with brake cleaner and seal the pipe then find out if still leaking. Likely the pipe not sealing but you can't be sure until it i...

Re: F2 Footpeg Replacements?
Ended up buying $11.00 FZ6 pegs. That price included 4 day shipping for China.

Re: F2 Footpeg Replacements?
T12's site says only replacements and Tarozzi didn't list the later bikes.
Raask was crap back in the day. I had some on my '83 and didn't care for them. Too far back and up. Poor castings.
FZ6 is a great idea. Probably reasonable too.
I've not heard of Fireblade. I'll look for them. Thx!

F2 Footpeg Replacements?
Does anyone have a good recommendation for F2 rider foot peg replacement?
Or, anyone making F2 rearsets?
Google didn't yield much.
Thanks!

No, the mechanic said there is plenty of wall.
Note I just wanted to go the next size over, I pick the motor up and it's now huge...

Blowing oil on new motor
421 stroker, 30 miles total. 1988 F2. Clearly it's blowing oil/premix. The left chamber is loose. The mechanic made a shim to snug the chamber up, ( when I bought it, it had two crush gaskets and at tube of RTV, the shim was to resolve this). I assume the mess is from the loose chamber? Right? Thank...
