Re: Zeeltronic Yay or nay?
I think the biggest advantage of the Zeel is since it is microprocessor controlled, the advance curve and PV setting are perfect and not relying on aging resistor, capacitor values for timing. I just started my LC with RZ engine yesterday after more than 8 years of being parked inside. At first it h...

Re: Zeeltronic Yay or nay?
I just saw the post from Economy Cycle about programming the Zeel for you. Great Idea!!!. Once programmed, not much need to change. Yeah, It is fun to try different settings and I did just that. I always went back to the stock advance settings and pv setting. Works very well. I've not been on this s...

Zeeltronic PCDI-10VT is what I am using. Works great. https://www.zeeltronic.com/page/yamaha.php
controls power valve too. You will need programming cable and software for laptop. I have not tried Windows 10, but in the day I used XP with no problems.

Re: Another Zeel thread
We know the pickup coil is positioned at 34 degrees BTDC. When the flywheel magnets pass the coil it triggers it. This starts the timing in the zeel and it counts down the time to fire the plugs. The zeel knows the rpm at any given moment so it will calculate the wait time per degree. For a timing o...

Re: Another Zeel thread
yellow79ss I did go back and re-read your post. I thought I covered what the 34 degree setting is. It is STATIC angle. By using 20 degrees flat curve in the zeel for testing we are confirming the static angle is exactly 34 degrees. If it is not exactly 34 degrees then we need to adjust the static an...

Re: Another Zeel thread
I have been out of pocket for quite a while. I re-read my posts on setting up the Zeel. I had forgotten most of that but after re-reading it make perfect sense to me. As to the rather negative post of what is the 31k advance curve. It is included with the zeel for your use. I don't remember it now b...

Re: Wieltronic 1984 RZ350 29K-50 replica CDI - First Impress
Been running a Zeel on my LC with RZ engine for quite a while. Been perfect. I needed a new ig module for my Yam XT600. Borut did not have one engineered but built one for me and himself as at that time he had purchased a XT550 and used it for a test bed. My Xt has been perfect with the Zeel. Borut ...

Re: Intermittent spark issue
Running a Zeel on my LC with 84 RZ engine. I too had an intermittent CDI, very normal for this year. No problems at all. Not sure which flywheel combos work but I suspect it will. Zeel is very adaptable and adjustable. Been a few years since I did the conversion so probably forgot the details so can...

Re: RZ350/R1 BRAKE ADAPTERS
I have a couple sets of Tony's adapters, they look GREAT! I've been out of pocket for quite a while and have not installed them or the Reeds and cages he did for me. I hope to get to this soon.

Re: Steel Reproduction RZ tank from India
Thank you... I found a good OEM tank that needs just a little TLC then repainting KR Yellow and Black. I am hoping someone can assist with accurate pictures of all angles and the accurate width of the white and yellow lines. Got my LC out the other day after being stored 3 years with AV gas. Started...

Re: Paint preparation 85 RZ350
Hi guys, I have just acquired a good 84/85 RZ tank that needs a little body work. My question: Does anyone have pictures of the original paint scheme from all angles to make sure I am setting up the graphics and black areas correctly. The width of the white and yellow lines are hard to judge. Does a...

Steel Reproduction RZ tank from India
Does anyone have an knowledge of how good the steel reproduction tank from India is. I have an '85 RZ350 USA model. Seller on eBay says it should fit, but may take slight adjustments. It looks like the early RZ tank. After a hiatus of a couple years I am dragging my RZ and RD out of the shed. Wife i...
