Re: New to RZs

Life gets in the way. Like I said before I'm really not trying to sell it, but I just don't ride it that much.

Re: New to RZs

I spent over $5000 rebuilding and modifying the engine. Yes, we replaced the water pump gasket or whatever was causing the leak. Thanks!

Re: New to RZs

Here's a link to about 250 pictures of the bike in various stages. The only thing left is to powder coat the frame and the pipes.

Re: New to RZs

I've been kicking around the idea of selling the bike. I only got it out once this season and it's not being used like it should. I don't need to sell it, but it's a shame to have that bike sitting in the garage gathering dust. I know I'll never get the $10k+ that I've got into it back out, but what...

Re: Newbie in KS

I agree. I would leave it as stock as possible and enjoy it. My bike had already been modded when I got it, so I just kept on changing things. It will be nice to be able to go to shows with you and have one stock and one modded bike.

Re: Newbie in KS

Jinx, it was great meeting you last night. That's a pretty nice bike you have. It just needs some normal maintenance for any two stroke that's been sitting for years. Too bad about the gas tank, but we'll get started looking for a replacement tank for ya. Here's a pic that I snapped. http://i21.phot...

Jinx, don't group me into the group of experts. I just know where he lives! We'll get it all sorted out soon.

Re: New to RZs

Haven't updated the thread for a while, been too busy with life to ride much. I did take it out to Mike Ell's last weekend and we played with the jetting again. It was lean in the right cylinder again so we went up a size in both carbs and then looked at the fresh plugs again. Mike thought they stil...

Re: Rib a Harley rider

After riding Kawasakis for the last 40 years, my brother bought a Roadglide about a month ago. He goes on and on about how people who wouldn't give him the time of day last year now give him "much love and respect" lol!! I said yeah, at $350/month for 60 months, they share a common bond. I...

Re: Grips. Are these too much?!?

Yeah, I figured that out when it had been a week and no one had posted their opinion of them yet! I'm gonna run them this year just because I paid $20 for them and the wife is unemployed. Hate to just take them off and buy another pair.

Maybe they'll lead me to a life partner!

There isn't a 6" radiator fan to be found on Ebay far as I can see.
You're right, that's a good price for a new fan and mounting kit vs. buying a used R6 fan plus the mounting kit. Let us know how that works out!

Re: Grips. Are these too much?!?

Well, here they are on the bike. They look pretty good from the rider's position because you can see the strobe stripe, but when you look from the front, the yellow clearly doesn't match the yellow on the bike. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b253/bdtunks/RZ350/20130526_171200_zpsb51a2733.jpg I th...

Re: New to RZs

The turn signal front and rear are off of a Buell, bought at the local HD dealer. The show tomorrow is more of an organized get together, ride in and swap meet. I doubt they'll be giving awards, but I bet I'll see some cool bikes.

Re: New to RZs

I took the bike out for a thirty minute shake down ride last night and everything seems to be functioning properly. It started up on first kick after being stored all winter! I cleaned it up this morning and took some pictures. Here is what it looks like now with powder coated fork legs and wheels. ...
