Re: Making a Stocker The Best It Can Be.
I think you have done a great job. May I suggest just a few things to smooth it out from take off to top revs. Put the baffles back into the airbox. Next, put the carbs back to standard jetting. Take it out for a ride for a good distance to run it in . It will amaze you how smooth it runs. The next p...

Re: Turn signal switch
I have had the same problem for years. Silverstrom explained that the system is controlled from inside the Speedo. To pull the speedo apart and fit is beyond my ability. I think that if one puts a time delay switch in the loom I am sure that will fix the problem. I am not good at electrical stuff, b...

Please Rory get those pictures up ASAp. Many thanks in anticipation, Russell ...

Re: Carb float adjustment to 21mm
I concur with both JW and Honaror. But at least he gets a rough idea of how to set it up. Better than a measuring tape and a pair of Multigrips.

spark plug choice?
At the moment I can purchase any type of spark plugs at about $6- each at the local auto supply joint.
My question is, do I change to Iridium plugs?
Cheers,
Russell.

Time delay switch into wiring for flasher.
I am told the flashers are controlled by a thingo in the speedo. I am thinking I can wire into the loom a time delay switch. Is this possible and has any one done it.
Cheers,
Russell.

Re: Still cant get it smooth from idle to five grand.
Thanks guys for your suggestions. Mr Gezzi. I do have enough money to buy a new set of carbys. But see no reason to do so when only one small part is at fault. The reco. motor consists of a Wicked crank, good pistons,TDR carbon fibre reeds and the ports polished and the crankcase relieved and assembl...

Re: Still cant get it smooth from idle to five grand.
What you say is all correct Ghezzi.New carbs are not on even if they were available. So its back to square one. Maybe lowering the float level could be the answer?
All ideas gladly accepted.

Re: Still cant get it smooth from idle to five grand.
Thanks for the quick reply guys. I think the pilot is ok,it idles well. When I take off with the needle in its lean position it dies coming off the idle jet. I then have to pull in clutch, grab a few revs and slip it away. Embarresing at the lights! When it warms up it is better. With the needle up ...

Still cant get it smooth from idle to five grand.
Done everything, all jets standard,as the motor is. Needle mikes up perfect but cannot buy needle jets, also called emulsion tubes anywhere in the world. With needle in center clip position its hard to get off the line cos it bogs down cos its too lean and when the needle is raised one notch its too r...

The same question came up about a year ago and John dubya suggested Testors liquid plastic cement for model aeroplanes.
