Re: TSS 90 Degree Cranks
Wobbly is still quite active on the linked forum and still kicking goals. He has the respect of people like Fritz Overmars and is happy to give advice to shoe string tuners. Maybe contact Wobbly via that forum and ask for his opinion on the crank. https://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/86...

Re: TSS 90 Degree Cranks
The tungston weights changed the 'balance factor' and I believe Wobbly was on the right track with that. Pressing the crank apart and retiming should be straight forward for anyone with a jig. I actually finished off the one bike that came out of the TSS Australian 'shop' at Rothwells premises. The ...

"A good method that'll always work is hypothesis and experiment."
I do this and it works. Think about what is happening, conjour up a way to test your idea, make the change, test again and prove the theory right/wrong or no change.

Re: Lubrication holes in piston skirts good idea or not.
Thanks MK, interesting airbox and RGV carbs? The steering head angle looks quite steep. Has the frame been de-raked or is it an optical illusion? Good choice of forks. 41mm Kayaba R6 forks? Have you done anything to the valving? Also why the spoked rear rim? Was it just something you had lying aroun...

Re: Lubrication holes in piston skirts good idea or not.
Well time you started one!..;) My bikes rarely get cleaned either. The crud on the BST wheel on the back of my SV just has my friends shaking their heads in disgust. The mismatched wheels and R6 forks and general purposefull tardiness is just something I get so more pics please. And on subject I put...

Re: Lubrication holes in piston skirts good idea or not.
MK, have you got any pictures of your racebike you can upload or a link to a build thread?
Looks like an interesting bike from the photo of you in action on one of the other threads that you posted.

Re: My Blinged-Out RZ Project
Scribe a line around the bracket for alignment and then just clamp it in position for welding using your scribed lines.
Accurate enough especially using grommets which have a little leeway anyway.
I rubber mount most things.
It's extra work but worth it I reckon.

Re: Prototypes
It's a 300cc derived from their trials engine I believe.
Inovative shock linkage and Ohlins suspension.
I don't know what ever happened to it but a dealer where i live said it got canned. Shame really cause it had some interesting ideas in it's design.

The fact that Wobbly has Fritz Overmars respect speaks volumes to me.

Re: project hybrid
For what it's worth Steve Rothwell told me he had a heap of stainless steel sheet cut with the design that Wobbly came up with. The stack of lazer cut cone patterns were sitting at Tyga ready to do a batch run when the shite hit the fan and TSS started it's very public decline into oblivion. How tru...

Re: Fit a YPVS RZ350 Motor in a 5KE TZ250 Frame!?
The other point I will make is that the customer GP spec bikes are probably heat treated and thus are a lot lighter than the RS aprilia road bike derived chassis. Using a R6 chassis IMO would just be overkill. Being production based the factories probably design in extra safety factor for the potent...

Re:
Guys, why the 3MA frame? It seems like such an old setup and not a huge leap forward in terms of updating... Why not just take an R6 and convert the motor in there then...? Or an RS250 frame (well, I want to keep it all Yamaha), but still...? Any other options? What swing-arm would you guys recomme...
