Re: TSS Power Valve Assembly

Better still, contact F5 in NZ, I think he might be in contact with "Wobbly", the designer of the TSS system.

Re: This is how you drag a knee.

Its all down to body shape and profile. I've followed a lanky bloke dragging his knee around every corner on a ZX10R, when I couldn't scrape the pegs on an old Guzzi. My short fat legs and forward controls didn't help. However, my RVF400 on slicks was cool, knee down easy. Had to be careful with ins...

Re: Still cant get it smooth from idle to five grand.

Ok Russell, I apologize for my assumption you were a cheap skate. But a worn needle jet (if that is the problem) is still a worn out unserviceable part. I maybe wrong, but trying to tune around it, which may be possible, seems futile. Are you trying to build a perfectly stock original resto, or just...

Re: Still cant get it smooth from idle to five grand.

I have no experience with Keyster. Spook said "New carbs are not on even if they were available". I take this to mean he hasn't got the money ........................ Does this mean the rest of the build has been done on the cheap? :smt102 The only way to tune a bike, is properly. Using wo...

Re: Still cant get it smooth from idle to five grand.

Only option for new bits is a complete needle and jet set of different dimensions, but similar flow rate/or flow area as original.

Re: Still cant get it smooth from idle to five grand.

cannot buy needle jets, also called emulsion tubes anywhere in the world. Therein lies the problem. Since the advent of "unleaded" fuel there has been a loss of lubrication in our go juice. Pre-mix doesn't suffer but if you are using auto lube, the oil is being introduced further down the ...

Re: Dumb aRSZd Newbie Question ....

The education continues ........................... Jetting is close, its running pretty sweet down low. Drained the last of the fuel at 30:1 with Redline Racing 2T, destined for the lawn mower. Mixed a brew of Fuchs KR2 at 50:1 to see the difference. Theory is it will be richer fuel wise, ............

Clutch cable - hybrid.

Anybody with an RS/RZ hybrid .............

................... what clutch cable are you using?

Standard RZ cable has 90 degree elbow as it leaves the perch.
I noticed a photo of a Banshee with a straight pull cable. Standard? I don't know.

Any tips for a better fit or routing of cable?

Re: Dumb aRSZd Newbie Question ....

MK I don't have a TPS, but your ignition tip I will keep in mind. Thus far everything seems to be on the rich side. Some of the settings/adjustments we have made indicate a change to the cut-a-way maybe, I said maybe, required. That's a last resort. We have lowered the float height 2.5mm (increased ...

Re: Dumb aRSZd Newbie Question ....

I am not prepared to discuss ancient history in public, but I could separate fact from fiction. I have an Ignitech and a YPVS controller as Wobbly intended. Some of the componentry is not supplied by him but they work just fine, obviously. I chose not to use the FCR's as there is not enough worldly ...
