Re: rear wheel stand

Bikes do tend to slide sometimes with these type of lift fingers, I normally use the stand on my lift where the front wheel is secured so harder for the bike to move. This problem is not limited to the rz350, it happens to all my bikes without spools. My pitbull stand does hold better than the other...

Re: rear wheel stand

I use a pitbull stand, they are not cheap but they are super solid. I tried to post a picture but couldn't, sorry. Here is a link to the one I have.

Re: New build stock engine restomod

That's because that tail section was designed for the F1 bikes, 83-85 with the different tanks. I thought that Rory, a forum member and Canadian distributor for Airtech had got that sorted a few years ago, maybe try to get in touch with him to see how he made out or contact Airtech directly to see i...

Hey John, let me know before you pull the trigger, I might be interested in buying one as well and split the shipping costs.

I recognize that bike, I put a few of those km's on her myself. Bike goes as well as she looks! :smt003 I'm happy to see her back home where she belongs.

Re: Can I use amsoil dominator 2 stroke oil

I have been using dominator in both my street and race bikes for years (premix and injection) with very good results. Also in my snowmobile for the last 2 seasons, again no issues at all.

Hey Dana, I've used them on a couple bikes now, no issues at all. Watch your knuckles though, the boots are super tight!

Re: Oil injector supply line filter?

My Polaris Indy Trail snowmobile had an oil filter on it for the entire 26 years I owned it without ever an issue, I did change it a couple times throughout the years though. Snowmobiles have been using oil filters forever, Polaris and Skidoo used the exact same one throughout the 90's, here is an E...

Re: Parts Identification

Yes that is a a tz swingarm, pretty light isn't it? The other one is clear anodized and wrapped up in plastic. Had another look at your pics and those green rims are tz too, you can confirm buy the cush rubbers as Dana says, they will also have "closed circuit use only" written on them. DO...

Re: Parts Identification

There's a set of fork legs that look like first gen r6 beside the wrapped up forks, they have compression and rebound adjustment, excellent right way fork if you want to keep a build looking period correct, should try to find the matching triples if possible. There's also what looks to be a fz600 sw...

Re: Alum Sprockets

I ordered mine from Sean at the Tuning Works, he doesn't list any sprockets for Yamaha but he is a Renthal dealer and can get any sprocket ( I got rz and tzr sprockets from him), a quick email and he should get you sorted. Worked out to less than $50cad, shipping wasn't a factor for me as I had a bu...

Re: TZR250 frame and parts just found. What next???

Nice score! Dberry went down this path, went for a ride with him this summer, his bike goes and handles very well!

Slinger did his cradle and pipes, hopefully he's good and close to you?

good luck with your build.
