So I got the swingarm installed on my bike and was very much in the learning curve part of things. Got lots of good tips from Clayton,...

Re: Drag Bike - Plan B

Wow been a busy summer, so much to catch up on. I love all Steve's details! You'll get the ''drag racing for dummies''' with my version. More on that later. So did that track day with John, on blue gixxer. Bought a couple of downloads for these pics, turned out well. https://live.staticflickr.com/65...

Re: Drag Bike - Plan B

Meant to include screen shot of track...Corner on far left is #1 and counterclockwise. Corners 4,5,6 are challenging for sure. Time to be made or lost through there.

Re: Drag Bike - Plan B

So long story short I decided to do a quick track day yesterday at Stratotech Park. About 25 minutes northeast of Edmonton. Fun little 1.7km per lap track. 9 turns, 6 lefts 3 rights. As it turned out I got to do today as well.....pulling double duty on the SV. I had a ZX10R shock that I put in 2 day...

Re: Drag Bike - Plan B

Steve, don't be so hard on yourself.......we all make screwups but to blow a shift that really hurts. I had a great race going against what's his name on the black Harley from Gasoline Alley. I had a nose ahead by the 60' and boooom botch the 1-2 shift and that was that. And that was to advance to t...

Re: Drag Bike - Plan B

Well, I always give deference to Steve as it's his thread and because, 2 strokes! But he takes 7-10 days after a race to post.....has to gather thoughts and so on. Whilst racing, Steve and I are always at same time, both run in same classes so can't get pics without dedicated photographer so hard to...

Re: Drag Bike - Plan B

Can't wait Steve to see Don's new faster triple run! Should be great, is he hoping for mid 9's or better?..........bit of RZ content, daughter would ride my RZ with me on the 11. Dozen years ago. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50937771753_0a3e5bedbc_k.jpg [url=https://flic.kr/p/2kBcoU2] So Stev...

Re: Drag Bike - Plan B

"It’s the middle of a long, cold Canadian winter; I’m waiting on parts, I have too much time on my hands, a couple of bad habits, and a lack of adult supervision" You kill me Steve...........thanks for the compliment but gotta see what happens this summer. Hope I can carry on. Love your po...

Re: Drag Bike - Plan B

Should clarify, the pic in the garage with all the red and white Yamahas was over at a friends place. He had a dozen bikes, including FZR400s, RZ500 etc. My 350 fit into the whole color scheme. Always liked that pic.

Re: Drag Bike - Plan B

You bet, can't wait till next year. I know Steve will have more tricks up his sleeve, lol. Will have to be ready! Ya the BC ride was a long, bit hurried affair. Got lucky with the weather and saw lots of nice sights.......seen a number of bears including a mom and 2 cubs close to us. First pic is Se...

Re: Drag Bike - Plan B

About time I added to the discussion.........have been kinda busy. In the 12 days between the races at Edmonton and the start of the weekend in Medicine Hat, I did a 4300 km ride out to the north of Vancouver Island on my DR650 with 2 friends. Did about 2300k of off road, hey, see what I did there, ...

This last weekend at Rimby it ran great, can be heard quite well on t...

Re: Drag Bike - Plan B

Well I jumped on the rolling acid trip bike and went down to Rimby to watch the races......got there just in time for eliminations. It's about a 90 mile ride through some fairly nice farm country . I apologized to Steve saying, ''wow I show up and bang, bang you're out''. But we had a good visit and...
