Hi Aron , Thanks for your good comments mate.
Good luck with your parts , believe me I know!!!
I'm almost finished with this bike just considered to add a thicker rad & boysen reeds. Surely will face temp. issues in the summer season here in Greece.
I have requested quotation fm RG500.com & fm Steve two stroke shop.
I have read on Smokers build that he had some issues as he received a diffrent rad fm RG500.com ???? then fm photo and was forced to return it but it looks great.A guy NixNix got both types and fitted them both on his bikes.
Regarding your question for Prox pistons , I'd say they are top draw.
Their crown has really good quality. Although on the box the name was Mitaka which is same brand as inside piston brand name was Prox.
I got them fm Stan Stephens , who recommended them based on stage of tuning.
Checked relevant invoice and they cost 42.30 british pounds each.
Total 84,60 for both. Code is PATRD350LC150
Orings 30X 4 x 3,36

thanks for the info on pistons
i have an oversize radiator from rg500 and have had no issues with it at all
keep up the great work and get riding !!!!
its great to have a selection of bikes, just take all your keys with you to the garage, you could change your mind as to which bike you will ride 3 times on the way to the garage _________________ rz 350 1984 stroker etc...

Today Sunday was a rainy day in Greece.
I had scheduled to take my RZ for a long ride but could not .
So I took her out from my garage for a good cleaning // wax.
Took a quick video inorder to show Jolly moto exhaust's sound.

Just completed my bikes breaking 1500 kilometers and tried her out a little bit.
There was too much traffic forcing me to close throttle , but gives you an idea of how she pulls away.
She makes 220 kilometers and have even more
(did not stop pulling through)
Hope you like it.....

Aaron , I'll reply to you on this post mate.
I'm still making testings to get the 100% fm my engine as with what you see on the video I'm getting only 70% as something is going wrong.
I have two stage tuned 31K barrels ( fm Stan Stephens ) , Mitaka pistons , New crank balanced fm same person , new rods & Jolly moto pipes/exhausts.
The high revs you see is mainly fm the Jollys and tune but bike is not ripping off the asphalt as I expected. Yes its very fast but should be faster....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMhbx-qxwto&feature=related
Bike goes top speed to 220 kilometers when I go through all speeds very hard but when I open fm 4rth speed goes 190-200 kilometers
although in red zone rpms and does not give enough power fm low / mid.
I'm running stock 26mm 31K carbs , 360 mains ( 240 was stock ),
stock needles , stock airbox ,( Steve insisted to go with stock carbs as perform better power ) Think I'll go Slingers way with the 28 PWK's carbs.
running 16 T // 43 T sprockets
I think there is something wrong with steves twostrokeshop.com double stage racing reed blocks/fibre reeds as I dont like them and would say that stock reeds performed better before change imo.
http://www.rzrd500.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4304
Now next step will be testing boysen carbon reeds on oem reed case on stock carbs first.
Sunday 25/April I did 350 kilometers on the bike.
Went riding with other two stroke buddies to see a race.
1 RG 500 , 2 RGV 250 , my RZ. Our bikes were top attention in the race parcking & when entering the guy incharge insisted that I park the RZ in the paddocks area for observation .
Entering a tunel with two strokes !!!

I did a dyno on my bike on a Fuchs type.
I can say I was not satysfied fm results as expected more power results. ( as Americans say well back to the drawing board )
I've done almost 2000 kilometers and think that engine needs more to let go all her potentions.
Also Dyno ventilation was non proper for a 2stroke.
Results :
Dyno
Torque
Kilometers
I took also a small vid so you can hear her scream.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39nHB69LkKw
Mods :
Stage two porting , jolly moto exausts , 31K carbs with banshee reeds at 12mm , stock airbox.
Tell me your opinion ???

Here's... this post i kept flying past it but I kept getting distracted. I wanted to give you a tad bit advise. I seen the Video of the fella on the Dyno. Is he really dynoing the bike like that...? OMG....! Maybe you might have to tell him how to do it. But either way get it in a 3rd gear roll on or 4th Depending on your Gear Ratio. Start off in third at about 3K and let it scream..... all the way to 10K Don't worry it won't fall apart. unless it's way off and is held for too long. But from your Videos that seems to not be a problem lol.... K Now with them Giant Jets. You need to let it breath..... you mention stock air box with all them mods? Do some simple test.
For example here is a link just take a peak we already started the discussion here. http://www.rzrd500.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4928
thou in your case it sounds to be way.... to Rich on the Big end Here's what I think your Graph should look like and run likehttp://www.rzrd500.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5005
So I think the quick fix will fallow with letting your bike breathe... Here is what I'm running on mind they Are K&N's Much better than the Foam filtershttp://www.wickedatv.com/DUportal30/home/detail.asp?iData=8465&iCat=306&iChannel=20&nChannel=Products
Best of luck hope it works out. Yes i so would be bummed in that graph. Not just cause the 50Hp it just seems to be lacking something and i think it's air intake.
Now i have a question for you. what carbs are you running? I was looking for some RD400 1977 or 1976 Or at even better for my tunning would be a set of yamaha Blaster carbs sense they come oil injected already. so i could trash all the carb top linkage mess and run straight carb tops. When i seen yours it raised and eyebrow what bike they from and what size? _________________ Wicked Motorsports Inc.

Thank you Roger for your reply. ( highly appreciated ) as you were the only one to pay attention to my post......
I was shocked realizing that my bike made only 54,6 bhp on the dyno.
and at low rpm's very low power.
I'd like to have the chance you take her for a spin so you can see in person what I mean even better dyno her at your shop with realistic readings.
She revs top in red zones over 11.000 rpm and when over 6500 rpm pulls hell really strong away.
The dyno guy admitted that there was something wrong !!! as he felt the bike was really strong runner under him.
The dyno was a fuchs type and had a program for RZs but ratio was wrong because I run 16-46 & his program mentioned 16-43 ?? and when he input my ratio realized that readings were wrong so input stock ratio
Ofcourse have to admit that this was my first experience & same stands for the guy that did the dyno ( for RZ's ofcourse )
Also don't get it wrong about the video , I told him to run all gears and posted specific vid as I thought that dyno readings were completely wrong.
We did 5 dynos at 6th gear and he opened full throttle fm 3000 rpm till top.
Question ??? Why did the bike perform 1bhp over each time ???
My Remarks / impresions !!
Dyno was not scaled correct & faced really difficulty on reading that tape mark on my back tyre.
Not enough Ventilation in there for a 2 stroke to breath , he just only opened the back door and to much smoke.... in there.
The bike was not straped down and I have the feeling that tire was jumping off the drum preventing all her power down there.
So you think that my issue is air intake....
I'm sure it's a jetting issue too that I can not solve as low rpm my bike does not pull crazy off......
Now to your question , I run stock 31K carbs 26mm , 260 main jets & stock airbox with only the snorkel off with banshee oem reeds on oem reed cages at 12mm opened as T-rex direction.
Next attempt is to put PWK's 28mm & will order your foam filters fm that link.
I shall e-mail you soon as will order some stuff for my 421cc too.
I'm sure I'll need (BANSHEE) Internal Cross Over Intake Manifold to help carbs breath together.
Tell me what you think ????
If you want I can post another vid showing revs fm 6th gear fm 3000 rpm to top end.

| Looks to me like there is something wrong with the powervalves as you have no power down low. |
