The long part to the pedal is included in the repair kit - bought it one mont ago.
The casted part is as far as i know the same on the RD350 (and i think 100 other Yamaha bikes)

The Japanese were not very creative with rear brakes - a while ago we compared the rear brake caliper of a 1992 Honda Dominator 500 and a ~2006 Yamaha R6 => it was the same :smt003

Yamaha R1 RN04

Hi ,

Long time I didn't come here !
First I wish everybody an happy new year !!

During all these months I continued working on the v4 and it is time to close it
I searched in the forum about liquid gasquet and get answers with threebond 1215, 1104, 1194...

It want to use 1194, but it seems that the 1194 is replaced by the TB1184.
Does somebody already use it ?

Thanks
Francis

ps I will put pictures of progress very soon...

I use TB1215 because
- It`s the sealant which is used by Ducati
- It`s the sealant recommended/used by Yamaha (RD500 service manual, Yamaha part number 90890-85505)
https://www.cmsnl.com/products/bond-121 ... DpclbgdPCY

TB1215 has a quite hight viscosity (20 according to TB) which makes it easy to get the perfect amount of sealant onto the flange.
Just put it onto the flange and distribute it with the finger.
After one day it`s like rubber.

I don`t know the TB11XX but according to the homepage the TB1184 has a lower viscosity than the 1215 (10).
For me this would be the first reason not to use it because I like the high viscosity of the 1215.
And the 1184 is "semi drying" whatever this means.

Hi Speed Freak,

Sorry for late answer, business travel this week.
Thanks for detailled information, I'm going to buy 1215 to be able to start closing the engine soon.
Anyway, right now I hope to restart my CB250K2 this weekend if not too cold and windy.
I never heard the CB, I bought it almost 20 years ago, the bike was already stopped since a period around 1985/1990.
Let's say 30 years ago

Have good WE
