A few pictures of the baby sister of the 500. Sure reminds me of my original 500.

Visually my favorite tzr 250.

Is that yours Paul?
I could really use one of those.

My same exact thought on best looking. The lines on these make new sport bikes look like a station wagon. Paint was good on it so had a good base to start. Was a lot of work stripping parts and painting. Getting to bare, bare metal was time consuming. The pearl on the wheel is a bit brighter white but no one can tell. I became pretty good laying the pearl paint on. All 2 part paint with several coats of clear applied. The engine rebuild along with the rest of the bike took time on parts location. Every bearing, seal, and gasket was replaced. Engine bearings, suspension linkage, well you guys know. Carb are a bugger with throttle position sensor and a de ice circuit. I finally bypassed the de ice circuit. One carb had a missing main nozzle that I never noticed. Tore the engine apart two times thinking I had a seal leak. Installed a Zeel controller and after a small wire mix up all is good now. Just found the regulator is bad so ordering. New petcocks arrived for both the tank and engine. A lot of the parts are the same as the 500s. Will be two years come March since I got the bike. Hope to have it registered by January
Planning a second dyno session to check jetting and ignition. I have two programs for the ignition and the PVs. Will see which one runs better. This has not been an easy bike to work on. Carbs are a pain to get off. Serious pain in the arse. It is now starting easy with a few kicks. After dyno will fiddle with the pilot jets to see if I can get it to get away from stop easier. I geared it two teeth down on rear sprocket. This bike does have to be ridden. No cruising on this. If so takes a bit of clearing. Once cleared keep it above 8k rpms and it is a hoot. The sound that comes out of those pipes is awesome. Body work is a bit time consuming to install. It was crashed at some point but whoever did the repairs and paint did a beautiful job. I am going to get someone to shoot some professional pictures of it. Should be going to COTA with it after Thanksgiving for a shake down. Nothing like the TZ though. I have had every piece on and off this bike multiple times so any one with question I am here to help. Have learned a lot and had great support from the TZR forum. More pictures and hope video to come. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

You are definitely right about the styling compared to new bikes. The auto manufactures have proven that retro styling can be a big hit. I wish the bike manufacturers would give it a try.

The retro Z1 and Honda look nice. But for old bikes the old Suzuki Gts with the 4 chrome pipes was my all time favorite.
