I have been using a Ballistic (out of business) battery since I put my 500 on the road. No charging problems.

I even put it on a battery tender if it has been sitting for a while. No problems.

I cannot help with fitment as mine is a custom installation.

Get a good quality modern Regulator / Rectifier and perhaps add this warning system for extra confidence ? .... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191741139645 ... xydUJTOtBO
