RZ 500 stone guard supply

#1 Post by rzluis » Fri Mar 05, 2021 3:48 am

Hi .
Just returning to the group after a long absence . I have 3 RZ500s and 2 RZV500Rs

Bill Wilson has taken one of my near new RZ500s and done a total engine makeover .

I have a number of high end commercial 3D printers and am looking to make replica parts for the RZ500s . Current price of things like Stone Guard replacement is stratospheric .I am having a CAD designer make an exact STL file so I can print them and make them available .
The material will be Onyx which is black nylon re-inforced with chopped carbon fibre .m The printer is a Markforged x7 . This composite is immensely strong . Comparable to aircraft grade aluminium .

There is nothing I cannot reproduce . Ask and Ill get on it . I am based in Australia and export worldwide . At present I am making about 30 composite motorcycle parts with exemplary surface finishes .

I have plans to build ducktails , panels ( Mobix large format 3D printer ) , intake boots , headlight surround gaskets etc etc .

Let me know what you want .

Sounds good. :smt023

Are you willing to make custom/one-off parts, as well?

Where are you located?

How about posting some photos of your bikes?

Yes
The cost of the one off part is mainly the CAD drawings .
If you want it maybe others will as well . Once the part is drawn then it can be remade forever .
What on your mind ? Often if you known of a similar part the CAD guy can modify .,Once drawn we can send you draft image for approval . If you pay the CAd you own it , If I pay I own it.
I am in Sydney Australia .

If it's a one-off part of my own design, I probably wouldn't want it sold, unless I'm selling it.

Not sure I have anything at the moment to fabricate from Onyx. Still looking at what I need, but most everything will be aluminum or titanium.
