Are they Lomas pipes, or just Lomas cans?

Page 5 of this thread Julian posted photos of a bunch of BT pipes. One set on his custom frame 500.

This may or may not be helpful.

And more may or not be helpful info. Here are my JL pipes after electro polishing

I have a set of Brians pipes on my RZV which has Bill Wilson's stg3 motor with his 34mm carbs and the pipes are fantastic, The pics here have Chinese bodywork which is being replaced shortly with my freshly painted RZV bodywork,
It was a bitch to fit the uppers, The bodywork would only fit with no heatshield, So I modded the upper brackets to get them to fit, So I got the uppers to fit with the heatshield, they still melted the bodywork,,
Fantastic pipes and I fitted TZmike carbon cans.

Something that I did with my Nikons was to ‘dent’ the inner faces of the upper pipes to clear the frame and also as the pipes can move in slightly, give more clearance for the side panels. I know this is sacrilege to modify trick pipes, but mine were 2nd hand anyway. Maybe ‘individual fitment’ is part of the process in building ‘specials’.....
Just a thought....

Hmm, tacky1, it looks like the stingers on the upper pipes extend into the silencers?
Pictures earlier in this thread they appeared almost as short as the ones on jolly moto.
I also got some melting with the jolly pipes.

Looking at kpke's bike I would have to say JL pipes and cans.

Mine sure look different than any other Turfrey pipes I've seen. Maybe a very early version been sitting in storage forever? Like 30 years?

I'm a bit baffled? Classic Collectors? Man Cave Wall Art?

Nope, The upper flange is just tacked on, The flange is moved to here you want them and then cut the tip off when its welded in place,

"Flange is moved"
Aah, that explains why it seems there are different lengths on different bikes.
Any insight provided by BT on if you lose any performance by trimming to fit under standard bodywork?
