Hi,
I’m building a RD500 engine from scratch to stop me going Corona Crazy. I’ve probably got 75% of the parts so I’m starting to think about what I could put the engine in. I’ve considered building a standard bike but I want to ride it so that’s out, I really like the 3MA route but I’m 6’4 so this is probably not the solution for me. I then started thinking about the R6 circa 2008, it handles and stops better than the standard bike and has a number of other advantages. Has anybody tried this route before? If so, what did you do with the pipes? And what did you do with the wiring harness?

Thanks got the heads up, at least I can see what I’m getting in to. I must admit, of All the problems I envisaged, kickstart clearance wasn’t one of them. Think I’m going to need a swear jar for this one.

So i'm 6'2 and mine is in a 3ma frame. There is tons of room on the bike thanks to the yzr tail fairing. I really like the feel of it. narrow and plenty of room to get into a tuck.Captaincosmos wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 6:14 am Hi,

Also if you need some pipes made, Jesse Williams in Wisconson is doing mine and is really talented. For the bike, you could just take the stock 500 harness and route it in the r6 chassis.Captaincosmos wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 6:14 am Hi,
