I've never had issues with yamaha brakes in the past, is there an advantage in weight, feel, or is it primarily being able to utilize all new stuff?
I've never tried a different rear on the RZ500. I could certainly use better rear braking. I use the rear brake a lot and find the stock rear brake a little weak. I had that very thought while riding today.

Well the disk is the same size and the bolt spacing is the same I would think, it is on the 350 with that caliper etc. So a Triumph caliper would also fit the back Id think.

RZ500 rear disc is smaller than the front and the rear caliper is different. As with the front, if you change the caliper you must change the disc.
