Service Manual

#1 Post by pht9 » Sat Feb 22, 2020 10:52 am

First post here, enjoyed reading through the archive information, but I could not find the answer I needed to the following question

My 1GE model came with a service manual, but its the earlier 47X version

Is there a later manual available, or is there little content difference to be concerned about ?

Not much of a difference. YAMAHA didn't release a separate manual, just some additional pages showing the difference.
(carb setup, ignition curve)

There is a separate document called "Service Information" which is 44 pages with a coloured big wiring diagram. This document had a revision of 5 pages in 1985.
The service manual remained unchanged as nothing changed in servicing.

The revised "Service Information" is at the end of the "Service Manual" in the download section ( the last 6 pages ).

Does anyone have a list of all the required torque values please for a RD 500?

Also for my 350 I found a sit that gives you specification of all the bolts lengths sizes pitch etc, do we have one here?

Thanks in advance.
