Another interesting discovery searching on a Japanese web site.............possibly?
If anyone here can confirm or deny....
TZR50 reed valves/cages working on a RZV...?
Looks as though the openings are larger in the TZR reeds with same bolt pattern as the RZV/RZ/RD500

I think the TSI mods would achieve similar results.

Been rather busy and not on site but you are still stuck with the ridiculous 90 turn into the engine. A lot of cutting on a good engine for a one horsepower. I have TDR reed and appreciate the mid range torque.

TDR as in TDR250 stock cages and reeds?
Or is there a company called TDR?

I just searched....there is a company called TDR...

I believe they are Tony Doukas. That is the sight. They run well on my track bike.

Do you know the specs of the TDR reeds Paul? TDR would have several options. I'm curious about thickness, material and tension.

I'm running the TDR reeds sold for the RD400. They are single pedal reeds that allow the removal of the center rib on each side. My cages look like the ones Ron57 posted earlier in this thread.

Not sure which ones they are. I just had the reed block off and they looked normal besides being composite. Sorry i can not be more help. My engine is stock except for modified carbs, tripod filter, Zeeltronic controller set at GE specs, and Jolly pipes. I get near 90 HP out of it. I want mid range torque and would be nice to have extra power to stay up with the liter bikes in a straight line. The mid range torque allows me to have better exit speed on corners.

Has some internal mods that I can not explain. I never remove his air jets because they work as installed. Have his tripod filters. Running 290 mains with 35 pilots. Have Ivans needles. Think I am settling at two clips from bottom.

YZ85 V-Force reeds will flow more air than std and even TDR reeds. My ported engine have 0,8 mm. squish, std carbs With std jetting, std elephant ears, std airbox With rubber inlets and std air filter, std 47X cdi, standard 47x exhaust, and zeeltronic PV Controller. 86,6 rear Wheel HP. The Zeeltronic PV Controller is recently fitted, have not experimented With it yet. Stored 1. curve for above tune and 2, curve for above tune, but With Jollys.

I was wery impressed by the Zeeltronic PV Controller and handheld programmer, so I have also bougth the PCDI 24. Havent installed it yet, but the Jollys is put on the bike. Saves 14 kgs and now it really flies. The best is that no midrange is lost compared to std exhaust, and surprisingly enough fuel consumption is same or slightly better. Cant wait to get it on a dyno and play With the settings.
