The problem I have with this bike is that is essentially irreplaceable. That might suck the enjoyment out of riding it.

same engine like the tzr250 2ma/me/1kt ?
Yes, the same engine as my TZR. Different colour engine covers and the cylinder head and carburetors are different to accommodate plumbing for the carburetor anti-ice system.

Have you ridden it? Ride report please?
I haven't ridden it. Not sure I'll be able to convince myself to because of its significance. Never thought I'd say that. I do ride all of the others.

I get it John.

Fortunately there is an easy solution for that...

Get another one that isn't 001, eh???

Does it have any miles on it?

Well done John and thanx for the inside scoop. I was watching it on Ebay being a local sale and curious, but not intent on buying when there it was, GONE! I noticed the 001 VIN on it and "someone" was very savy in procuring this unit. A testament to your eye for detail as usual, it couldn't have gone to a better home!

It has 18,000 km on it now. The bike's condition does not indicate that that kind of mileage. The bike was very well cared for and is in amazing condition.

I would like to have another one to play around with and modify. I know where there are 2 locally so may pursue that over the winter.

Thanks Dan. I've procrastinated too many times and lost out on great bikes. I'm a little wiser now. A little poorer as well. :smt115

I have both a tzr and a tdr, the engines are the same just different ratios in the gearbox and different exhausts/jetting which changes the characteristics a bit.

Both great bikes
