Hi all
Anyone got a set of RD mirrors for sale. Condition not important as I only need the glass.
Thanks
Jon

Buy aftermarket and use just the glass.

Thanks for the reply.
I did think of that but is the glass the same size and shape?

It certainly seems to be with the ones I've seen here. They're cheap and plentiful, so it won't cost much to find out. An alternative is having a shop cut new mirror glass for you.

I did get a pattern mirror glass to fit the Yamaha shell, but it was not a direct fit as it was a slightly different shape/size to the stock one. Spent some time with a diamond file and got it to clip in. Not good to ride with as it was flat glass, unlike the stock mirrors that are convex. Then after a few days it cracked and game over!

I don't know if all pattern mirrors are the same, but the one I have seen are poor copies with every single component built down to a cost with little consideration for function.

Regards
Paul
