Chinese fairing beware
Hi,
Just got my fairing from ZXGY MT on Aliexpress, not please at all, almost every panel need to be modified some quit a bit, colour is off (even after sending them sample) send me the belly pan with sticker from RZV instead of RZ. Try to open a dispute with them but no success, communication was really poor from them.
I will get it to fit until I repaired the OEM one. I guest you get what you pay for.

Re: Chinese fairing beware
I have fitted up 2 sets. I agree that the stickers are wrong and the color is off on the red/white/blue sets but the fitment wasn't too bad. Just got the red/black and I am very pleased with it. Considering how much OEM pieces are going for and the cost to paint and repair them it's not a bad deal at all. I think for a daily rider it's a great alternative.
Re: Chinese fairing beware
Hi I'm thinking of buying a set, are there any different brands.
Could someone post a few photos.
Thanks Ron.

Re: Chinese fairing beware
Ron, I got the R/W/B from Aliexpres I think from Zxgymt. Graphics are incorrect, color a little off. Had to build small brackets to connect the side panel to the air box, about an inch off. The R/B came from Hong Kong, graphics were correct, since I don't have any OEM red/black panels not sure but I think it's pretty close. Just had to make a 3/4 inch bracket on the right side where it connects to the air box. If you give me your email I will send some pictures as soon as I get home, also the website for the R/B.
Overall for what it costs I'm pretty satisfied. Hope this helps. I restored the RZ500 that Kevin Schwantz rode in the Paul Revere 250. Spent a lot to have the original plastic repaired and repainted but the guy did a fantastic job, almost too nice to ride. So if you want a museum piece it won't do but I'm really happy with it on my daily rider.

Mike,
That is close to what I received, but I agreed for every day used not bad at that price. Mike did you get the belly pan with the RZV 500 R sticker or the RZ 500 one.

Re: Chinese fairing beware
It is definitely hit and miss with the Chinese bodywork now. Some sets fit quite well while other sets are problematic.
Miyabeeplusco.ltd (in Japan) used to sell them on eBay a few years ago. I asked where they came from (after I bought 2 sets from them) and was told China. I was under the impression that all of the RZV sets came from one Chinese manufacturer and then had multiple vendors. I thought that did make the most sense due to the moulds required. It could be that after making many, many sets the compression moulds are simply no longer accurate. The colours were never correct for Chappy Red/Clean white, but it was at least close. I have a bunch of Chinese solo cowls and a bunch of Chinese upper fairings here and the colours aren't bad. Are the colours really that far off now? They do make them in many colour combinations.

I got the RZV one, also my V4 stickers are actually black.
Re: Chinese fairing beware
Hi Thanks for the feedback, the cost to paint and repair my old fairing is very pricey.
was looking for a cheaper alternative to ride on the road.
Thanks Ron.

Plus the old fairings even repaired are still 30 plus years old and brittle.

Re: Chinese fairing beware
I was installing the front cowling and it went on but when I try to attached the side panels I was like Mike about one inch from the air filter attach. I then removed the two rubber grommet (about 25 mm thick)from the top front cowling bracket, and now I can mount the side panel to the air filter it is a bit tight fit but don't need to make a small brkt.

Re: Chinese fairing beware
That's a great idea. Never crossed my mind.
Re: Chinese fairing beware
Same with me, took out rubber bits and they just about went on. Single seat cowl was nowhere near though....anyone ever got a replica one to fit? Or got one I could buy cheaper than a Yambits one plus paint? (yellow/black). Over all they are worth it though...my bike fell off it's side stand outside a pub for absolutely no reason at all.

Hi.
In store pics I can see gas tank, but they're not giving customer a tank too, is it?

Re: Chinese fairing beware
Mine came with the cover, It was a job to get the whole thing to kinda line up, I did fit 5mm spacers under the back piece to try and get the seat to line up, Its a little better, The fairing was tough to get all to fit..
Im using it temporary till I get my OEM kit painted...
