I finally got back to the carbs on my RZV today.
Went back to the generic Yambits O-0 needle jets and my Atchison needles I made.
Went with a 27.5 pilot jet and 1.4 air jets.
230 mains
Runs so much better than any setting I tried with the Ivans needles and the N-8 needle jets.
I am guessing that the bike needed more fuel than the Ivans setup could give with the Uni filters on the ears.
Might try 25 pilots one more time since I now have the powervalves closed where they were supposed to be (first 1000 kilometres the powervalve setting was off on the Zeel last year...and I had 25's in it then)
Not perfect but better than it has ever been so far.

Took the RZV to the dyno Thursday.
Lean everywhere....but now I know where I stand with it and have a direction on which way to go from here.

Very short video here....

A couple more pics of the dyno day.
The TZR/SP had a very good A/F reading throughout. But the factory restrictions really killed the powerband after 9000RPM
After the RZV is dialed in to my satisfaction, I will hook up the SUGO kit ignition, and get the powerjets operational on the 36 Mikunis....with my SPR air inlets for full power.

The before and after net improvement numbers will be interesting on the tzr.
Of course at this point I'm more interested in the rz jetting progress.
Why did you switch to the uni filters, I thought you had the k&n? Ease of removal for tuning or weight or?
There was a post by kpke, may 6 2020, who found some improvement switching from uni to the k&n.

Always have had Uni filters on the ears since the rebuild of the bike.
No K+N filters on this bike....if the bike is still lean with 230 mains and 27.5 pilots....I think the filters are flowing OK.
Going to use a smaller air jet, as I have a 1.7 with the 27.5 pilots....mains I will go 235 or 240 next.
I'm close, just not close enough to leave it as is......carbs will be off at least a few more time yet.
