Hi all, Anyone had any success getting their seat re-covered to a good standard finish?

I will maybe check out my local upholsterer as well but keen to her if anyone has any success with maybe a supplier?

Cheers Vin

In my experience Vin an upholsterer is the way to go. The do-it-yourself kits sound appealing, but the end result is seldom what is desired. An upholsterer can repair any foam problems and give you back a seat that will look like it belongs on the bike. It is worth the extra cost to have a professional do it.

Judging by the response John I think it's the only way to go :smt017

It depends on the end result you want. Doing it yourself will always look like you did it yourself, regardless of how good the seat cover you buy is.

Not sure , I've seen a lot of upholsterer's jobs with stitches going in all directions .

I did this one for my VTR 1000 Firestorm:

Not too complicated if you don't have two left hands...
